Do the #AXEApolloing, join the Zero-Gravity Photo Contest and win GO PRO Cameras!

We're floating, we're floating! This is such an amazing experience, we felt like floating in zero-gravity inside the AXE Apollo Space Simulator situated at the Bonifacio High Street in Taguig City just recently.

When I was just a little girlie (he he), one of my ultimate fantasies was to become a lady astronaut. I've always told my dad, that one day, I'm gonna ride a spaceship and explore the universe. Those were part of our childish dreams...

Surprisingly, what happened to me just recently was so ironic. I do not have to ride a rocket ship and go to the space to experience the zero-gravity effect which is basically --- FLOATING on air!

Life is really full of amazing surprises! Just recently, AXE Philippines and FOX International Channels didn't have anything better to do last weekend but to set up the “AXE Apollo Space Simulator” – a specially-designed facility for all you people who won’t make it to actual space.  And lucky enough, I was able to try this!

The Axe Apollo Space Simulator in Bonifacio High Street

Look! I'm floating with co-blogger Ning Buning! Yipee!

If you wanted to see the my #AXEApolloing moment in a 360-degree video, please do visit www.axeapolloing.com we're on the 182nd slide and you'll also get to watch other videos of hundreds of peeps who were able to use the AXE's space simulator.

Special thanks to AXE Philippines, the no. 1 fragrance brand on the planet, Fox International ChannelsCanon and Bonifacio Global City for this unforgettable and amazing space-like experience!

AXE Apollo

In celebration of the launch of AXE Apollo, AXE's is actually swending 23 people to space! Bet you've heard that, unless you’re one of the 112 people on Earth set to train at the international AXE Apollo Global Space Camp in Florida this December, you probably won’t be one of them, but don't falter... if you didn't get invited to the AXE's space camp and you weren't able to catch AXE's space simulator, you can still be like an astronaut, and win GO PRO Cameras while you’re at it.  It’s called “Apollo-ing”.  If you’ve ever taken a jump shot, then you were almost there.  “Apollo-ing” is taking a photo that’s made to look like you’re floating in zero-Gs.  It’s quite enjoyable, and the photos come in handy when you’re trying to spark up a conversation – or win a GO PRO Camera.

Here’s how:

Step 1: Take an epic photo of yourself suspended in mid-air.  (Tip: Make sure you look like you didn’t exert an ounce of effort jumping up in the air and striking a pose, so you look like you’re really in zero-Gs)
Step 2: Post the photo on Facebook or Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #AXEApolloing
Step 3: Show the photo to all your friends and perhaps even to total strangers (optional)
Step 4: You get a chance to win a GO PRO Camera!

For more information about how to Apollo, check out www.axeapolloing.com.  AXE Space Simulator and AXE Apollo-ing are brought to you by FOX International Channels, Canon, and Bonifacio Global City.

I'd still like to share with you my dear readers, that we had also the privilege to meet two of the three Filipino candidates who will represent our country and fly in space :))

These two awesome guys with me were AXE's Filipino representatives to space: Ramil Santos (middle) and Chino Roque (far right)

Btw, the wacky, witty and Youtube sensation also graced the said event...
It's no other that Mr. Ramon Bautista (sorry didn't have a frontal shot of him)

So, what are you waiting for? Don't waste any moment my dear readers, upload your effortless "jump-shots" and tag- away #AXEApolloing either on your Facebook accounts, Twitter or Instagram. Much better if you could upload your pics on those the social networks mentioned.

Who knows, you might be the lucky winner of GO PRO Camera!!!

Aljur Abrenica: Come and Get him on his first major concert at the Music Museum

Hunk actor/ singer Aljur Abrenica in his  "Come & Get Me" concert
Singing is actually, Aljur Abrenica's first passion before he got into acting. He admitted this during the bloggers' conference of his "Come & Get Me" concert held at Congo Grille in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. Coming from a musically inclined family, he became a member of a band, before he entered show business.

Aljur even narrated how he discovered his ability as a singer. It was when he joined a pageant in their school when he was only 13 years old. During the talent portion, he had thought of singing Rico J. Puno's "Macho Gwapito" (Aljur even rendered us a 'sample' of few lines from the song mentioned).

Aljur was happily singing in front of us, such a cool guy!

And soon after hearing those people cheer for him and applauded after he sang, he was so overwhelmed and felt a different kind of satisfaction, he had also realized one thing in his life... the next day, he started to have voice lessons and eventually learned how to play guitar and piano. Fascinating enough, Aljur even writes songs though his poems. He gets his inspiration and passion in writing from life's experiences. If he is to choose between acting and singing, he wants to pursue those two kinds of fields.

GMA Artist Center prime artist Aljur promises to his live audience a different kind of full performances with band and his special guests that includes Julie Ann San Jose, Rochelle Pangilinan, Aljur's younger brother, Vin Abrenica and his leading lady in GMA Network's weeknight primetime series, "Princesa ng Masa," Kris Bernal. Expect more surprises on November 7, 2013, Thursday at the Music Museum.

Aljur is such an awesome actor and singer, very accommodating and humble

I asked how did they come up with the title "Come & Get Me" for his concert, Aljur said, it was really conceptualized by all of them since they all agreed that it fits his image and personality. "Sabi daw nila sexy ako," (he smiled), according to him. No doubt about that dear Aljur, I totally agree too without batting an eyelash! :)) We can expect a bolder and more daring Aljur here, especially when he performs his song and dance number with sexy Rochelle Pangilinan.

Aljur continues to entertain us with the song "Bakit Ganun," originally written by his dad

Aljur still admitted that he's still in the process of exploring his own style but he is so versatile that he can sing different music genres such as pop, rock and jazz. In his upcoming album (untitled), this will include another brand new genre for him which is RnB and of course there's also pop. He likes to sing selections of Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Bon Jovi, and Adam Levine; for local artists, he admires Gary Valenciano, Gloc 9, and Yael of Spongecola.  He hopes to have a collaboration with Ariana Grande. He also said he'll be singing some tracks from his album in his first major concert.

The 23 year-old dreamer also revealed that he is really a family-oriented type of person and always thinks of others ahead of him. But in this point in time of his career, he is now starting to think of himself and having plans for the future. During his early career as Starstruck grand winner, he had prayed in Manoag and now he had achieved his fame, a car, to have endorsements, tv series, and have his dream house for his family here in Manila that they can call their own.

Two years from now, (he'll be 25 then) Aljur hopes to have more passion in his work, to be more mature and to achieve a sexier body (he laughed). He also aims to reach his goal of becoming a successful actor, to have an award and be a musician.

Back to his "Come & Get Me" concert, he feels very proud of his younger brother Vin, because he also won in TV5's "Artista Academy," and now they will be performing together in his concert and that thought has been so overwhelming for him. "Bilang isang kuya, napaka-proud ko talaga, pinagmamalaki ko nang sobra 'yung kapatid ko, sarap ng pakiramdam, it's a success eh parang binigyan n'ya lalo ng  karangalan 'yung apelyidong Abrenica," he said.

Want to know more hints about what to expect from Aljur's "Come & Get Me" concert? Well, Aljur said, we should look forward to his opening number, his acoustic number, the guests and their numbers together, his "abs," hihihi and last one is, according to him, people will get to know him better as a person after "catching" and "getting" him. ;))

Finally had a bonding moment with Aljur, he's such a sweet soul!

To Aljur, best of luck to your first major concert, we all believe in you, we know you can do it!!! Wish you more great opportunities to come in your career as an actor and musician. Achieve it and claim it! You deserve it!

Ticket prices for "Come & Get Me" concert are as follows

VIP: PhP 2,000

Orchestra Side: PhP 1,500

Balcony: PhP 1,000

Chef's Noodle Korean Dishes to Savor at The Block in SM City North Edsa

It was one rainy lunchtime when me and my blogger/ friends together with Ms. Ana Liza Reyes had scheduled a visit to one of Chef's Noodles' newest branches located here in ground level of The Block in SM City North Edsa in Quezon City.

It was a rather gloomy weather but for me, it was just perfect when you're having their signature dish, of course it's no other than, Chef's Noodle! Most especially when it's steaming hot with full of flavors and texture. A healthy option for everyone 'coz its "good to share." :))

Korean fresh noodles with beef and anchovy broth topped with leeks, bean sprouts, fried tofu, spring onion, red pepper, egg roll and bulgogi all for only PhP 150.00

We've also tried their Seafood Pajun, it's a Korean pancake with seafood for only PhP 99.00

Do you know what this is? I have to really commend this since I love Japchae noodles and seaweeds! This is called Kimari Twigim. You see, my favorite Japchae noodles and seaweeds were literally rolled into one in special Tempura battered mix! Thanks to my blogger/ friend Bedalyn Aguas who recommended and ordered this. This is also worth your money for a price of PhP 99.00 only. Another additional to my "what to order" list at Chef's Noodle. ;))

Oops! Here's another Korean dish, Bibimbap that'll surely fill- up your appetite and tummies! I guess they've even improved this and you can order it with a single served ice tea for only PhP 99.00, such a budget-friendly meal! It consists of traditional Korean steamed rice with seasoned vegetables (love this!) and egg, you also have the option for chicken, beef or pork. :))

So, you think we had enough? Not yet, haha we also had, Sensun Kas, it's a breaded white snapper topped with cream kas sauce in egg, onion leeks and sesame seeds. This is a must-try, promise!

Chef Choi In Sun, a popular Korean chef featured a dish in a Korean food show titled Starking Show, thus his signature dish was called Starking Fire Sushi, it is a falvorful dish which consists of sushi rice topped with thinly sliced premium beef torched and served with soy and wasabi. But you also have the option of either shrimp or tuna. Chef's Noodle never missed the chance to tap Chef Choi and then they've also developed the menu.

Philippine-based Korean tv and radio personality and Chef's Noodle celebrity endorser Ms. Grace Lee together with Chef Choi In Sun

This is an image of a raw shrimp Starking Fire Sushi

Carefully watch while it is being torched!

This is it! Amazing! You can enjoy it with their special sushi sauce, wasabi and lemon.
This costs PhP 160.00

Oh well, I really feel full but seeing this being served on our table, who would dare to resist? This is the Spicy Ddukbokki, it is a spicy and sweet rice cake seasoned with various fruit juices for the price of PhP 150.00. I also had this in Hongkong in one of the fastfood stores there inside the Ocean Park, and it was different. I must admit, I like this, even better. ;))

And now... been preserving a special space for this hahaha! I wouldn't miss this for the world! You haven't been to Chef's Noodle if you weren't able to have at least ordered their Japchae, my all-time favorite!!! Actually we all enjoyed this noodle dish, we had even re-ordered it for several times (bitin!), a real proof of must-try Korean dish! This traditional glass noodle dish with beef and veggies that is seasoned with special soy sauce costs only PhP 130.00. Such a real deal huh!

DESSERT TIME!!!

The ambiance is so light, a bit edgy and homey for dining with family and friends! The staff is so accommodating and friendly too...

Friends and co-bloggers at Chef's Noodle at The Block SM City North Edsa

LG DEBUTS COMMERCIAL LAUNDRY PRODUCTS IN PH

Global technology innovator LG Electronics heralds a new era for commercial laundry as it launches a new family of coin, card, and on-premise laundry solutions in the Philippines.  This new line-up of commercial washers and dryers incorporates innovative and convenient features as well as strong performance in energy-efficient, durable designs.

Reliable, energy-efficient

Laundry facility owners are assured that LG’s commercial laundry products are long-term solutions. A key reason for this is the Inverter Direct Drive Motor, which eliminates the usual belt and pulley within the machine, lessening vibration and noise. This increases durability and significantly reduces maintenance costs.

Being ENERGY STAR® qualified, this new array of commercial offerings also saves on energy and water usage costs.  With LG’s inverter control system, the drum of the washer runs at a constant speed, reducing wasted energy from continuous speed fluctuations.

Intelligent

Ideal for college dorms, apartment buildings, coin-operated, and on-premise laundry venues, LG’s versatile washers and dryers are stackable, fitting interchangeably in the top or bottom position.

LG’s AdaptAble™ Control allows property owners and building managers to put the user controls at either the top or bottom of the unit, so both panels can be at eye level on stacked units.  For additional flexibility, the dryer door is reversible without extra parts.  This means that the machines can adapt to the owner’s space, rather than the space needing renovations to accommodate the machines. Offering owners even more design choices, LG’s commercial laundry units are available in a variety of colors including red, white, and gray.

Additional innovations designed to help owners provide a worthwhile customer experience include:

An embossed inner drum, enabling more contact with fabric for great wash action and stain removal.
A NeverRust™ Stainless Wash Tub, eliminating the likelihood of paint chips entering the wash cycle and rust staining fabric during use.
Dual Lock System, LG’s double locking system for the front panel and coin vault access provides increased security.
Smart Tub Cleaning System, keeping a clean tub even in the busiest locations.
Streamlined Design, captivating people with Tempered Glass and chrome door

LG’s commercial laundry partners in the country are ELS Philippines, which provides the total solution and service of Commercial Laundry Business, and Bigwash Company, which initiates and offers the Coin Laundry System.

It's this time of year, when almost everyone's anticipating and excited to participate in various "Halloween" activities like, trick or treats, costume parties, zombie-themed fun runs, ghost-huntings, etc. This year, Cartoon Network has created the "Irregular Halloween Adventure" on October 31, 2013, 11AM- 7PM at the Event Center of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City. If you wanna join the fun and adventure, all you have to do is to present a receipt of at least worth PhP 500 bought from Toy Kingdom.

Moms, dads, kids, don't let this special event pass this Halloween season! If you want to be creepy, kooky and spooky at the same time, come join the fun! Cartoon Network has an "Irregular Halloween Adventure" for everyone! There would be lots of games, challenges and contests with matching meet and greet with your favorites from Adventure Time and Regular Show. If you'd be coming with your kookiest and spookiest Cartoon Network costume, you'll have the chance to win in the hourly costume contest!

The fun never stops there, dear readers! How would you like to experience creating your own one of Adventure Time's main characters, Princess Bubblegum costume? Well, it's so easy! All you have to do is gather all the materials needed, follow the step by step instructions and you'll see... you and your little princess could have the best bonding time too!

Here's the easy DIY guide to make the perfect Princess Bubblegum headdress:

GETTING STARTED

Materials needed:

Cartolina (Yellow and Pink)
Scotch Tape
Pencil and ruler
Measuring tape
Pentel pen
Scissors

Optional:
Glitters / gems

PUTTING IT TOGETHER

The Crown

Step 1: Measure your little princess’ head using the measuring tape. Allot an inch and a half for binding the crown later.

Step 2: Measure the length on one edge of the yellow cartolina and mark it with a pencil.

Step 3: For the band of the crown, measure 1 and a half inch from the edge of the cartolina. (Sweet hint: this measurement may vary according to your personal choice.)

Step 5: Using a reference photo, a pencil and your best drawing skills, draw half the outline of the top of Princess Bubblegum’s crown. Use a light touch so that you can make corrections until you make the perfect outline. Fold the cartolina in half based on the middle part line. This will help you cut the outlines of the crown easily!

Step 6: The finishing touch to the crown: Use a blue marker to draw the crown jewel.

Princess Bubblegum's Hair:

Step 7: PB’s signature is her long, flowing pink hair.  To make this, on a piece of pink cartolina, mark your daughter’s head circumference (on one of the shorter sides of the sheet) and draw a line upwards.

Step 8: Cut the cartolina along the line and use scotch tape to join both ends of the sheet to create a cylinder shape.

Step 9: Topping off the headdress.  Measure the height of your daughter’s forehead and double it.  Measure that same length from the top of one end of the cylinder and mark it on the cartolina – this will be the height of the headdress.

Step 10: Face-forward!  Measure the space between your little girl’s temples and mark that measurement by drawing a line crosswise on the cylinder just below the mark you just made for the height of the headdress.   Next, draw lines perpendicular to the ends of that line.  Now you are ready to create the front of the headdress by cutting along the lines you just drew.

Additional hint:
To create Princess Bubblegum’s hair flaps, make two perpendicular cuts about three inches away from the front opening of the headdress.

Step 11:  Princess Hair! Give PB’s hair some body by adding curves at the end of her hair.

Step 12:  Mathematical! To close the top of the headdress, cut the cylinder into 4 equal parts.  Then cut each resulting square into triangles, bind the triangles together with scotch tape and - ooo-la-lah - your darling now has a crown fit for a princess!

Presenting... my little princess Lianne wearing our own self-made Princess Bubblegum headdress!

Look at what my baby Lianne has made out of the unused cartolina! She's really fond Cartoon Network's Adventure Time!!!

So, see you all on October 31, 2013, Thursday at SM Megamall!!!
