Pioneering World-Class Health & Wellness Event in January ‘24 Set to Lead the Philippines Globally

A pioneering event promoting the Philippines as a world-class health and wellness destination
will have a rerun on January 26-28, 2024, at the SMX Convention Center at the Mall of Asia
Complex in Pasay City.

Dubbed the Health & Wellness CONFEX 2024, the three-day event will gather under one roof
the stakeholders of the multi trillion-dollar health and wellness industry – from award-winning
wellness resorts to globally accredited hospitals that provide medical tourism packages, all the
way to organic farms and specialty shops that offer a wide array of innovative, sustainable and
eco-friendly health and wellness products and services.

With the theme “Go &Get Better,” the event highlights the promotion of regenerative tourism, which, in essence, is a strong call for making the places we visit better than we found them and pursuing economic growth while managing the social and environmental impacts of our visit.

The event is, in fact, the centerpiece of a global multi-media campaign that aims to showcase
the country’s many health and wellness destinations and will feature an exhibit, a conference, business matching sessions, and various experiential activities. The ConFex will also launch its innovative television travel show-vlog that will allow the viewers to explore the fascinating world of health and wellness amid the breathtaking natural wonders of

It measures the performance of companies in the areas of facilitating the rights and the equitable treatment of shareholders, how they relate to their different stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability thru timely disclosure of material information, and how the board guides the company strategically, monitors the management, and ensures the board’s accountability to the company and the shareholders.

The scorecard is composed of 184 questions based on publicly available disclosures on the companies’ websites. It aims to raise the corporate governance standards and practices of the country and to make well-governed Philippine publicly listed companies attractive to investors.

Just recently I had one of the most memorable nights of my life, you wanna know why? Okay, it's because of these few reasons... 

First, being a jolly, fun-loving, adventurous and lover of amazing things, I am really a fan of festivities! So the moment I stepped in to the venue which was the The Westin Manila, they opted to create a festive mood there... look! 



Aside from the fact that there was really "something" worth celebrating, the whole night was filled with fun, excitement, (for the calendar girl), laughter, bonding, drinks and food! 

Secondly, though we already had a hint of who's going to be the 2024 Calendar Girl if Ginebra San Miguel, we're still thrilled to see her and how could they creatively and fabulously launch her! We all know, that every year, GSM had different and meaningful themes for every calendar girl they launch.

Donning six different famous Philippine festivities-inspired outfits, Heaven Peralejo has definitely nailed every inch of it! Please do read more about it... 









Every year, the world’s best-selling gin selects a Calendar Girl who embodies the spirit of the brand. For 2024, Heaven Peralejo is unveiled as Ginebra San Miguel’s Calendar Girl during a festive media launch at The Westin Manila, Mandaluyong City. 

Best known for her acting in the movie ‘Nananahimik ang Gabi,’ which awarded her the Philippines Best Actress award from the Asian Academy Creative Awards, as well as starring in the youth series ‘The Rain in España,’ Heaven shared that it is a dream come true for her to endorse an iconic brand, Ginebra San Miguel. “It’s such a beautiful milestone of my life to be part of Ginebra. When I was 18 years old, gin bilog with pineapple juice was my first drink. It’s a dream come true, my first drink is also my first big endorsement,” she said.

The featured setting is the Giant Lantern Festival, also known as Ligligan Parul in San Fernando, Pampanga, a spectacle that symbolizes not only the brilliance of light but also the profound sense of hope it brings.




Just as Ginebra has inspired Filipinos to light their lives with choices that reflect their truest and most vibrant selves, Heaven sparkles hope for her family and followers. She constantly reminds others that even in the darkest times, there is always a glimmer of hope. 


Heavenly Heights in Higantes 
In the third layout, Heaven takes center stage amidst the larger-than-life papier-mâché puppets of the Higantes Festival in Angono, Rizal. Much like these symbolic giants that represent the aspirations of the people of Rizal to achieve greatness and make significant contributions to their hometown's progress, Heaven, too, aspires to excel in her role as an actress and performer, contributing to the enrichment of the arts. 



Heaven is truly ‘ganado sa buhay’ as she managed to graduate with a degree in Business Management from the Southville International School while working her way up to become one of the most recognizable faces in the entertainment industry today. 

Heaven in Higantes Festival layout aligns seamlessly with Ginebra's commitment to upholding traditions of excellence, emphasizing the shared pursuit of greatness and the celebration of achievements within the tapestry of cultural festivities.


Heavenly Design in Pintados
The fourth layout draws inspiration from the Pintados Festival in Leyte, where Heaven is showcased alongside intricate body paintings. Pintados, a festival steeped in historical significance, pays homage to the pre-Spanish tradition of warrior tattooing, where the bravest warriors showcased their valor through intricate ink designs.
