A fun and gastronomic experience made possible by 2nd Avenue cable channel
That's Me with friendships Jaja Ramirez and Nikole Maturan, my beautiful team mates during our cooking class under 2nd Avenue
I've been cooking in my life ever since I've learned how to cook rice and fry chicken as instructed and guided by my beauteous mom. Before, we do not have a rice cooker yet, so, as expected, due to my young age (about 12 or 13 I guess), being that playful and muffled that time, I've had countless burnt rice to boot. Those were just my fond memories of my many firsts in our kitchen.
Time flies and my cooking experience was enhanced and is actually still developing until now. Most especially now that I am a blogger, I get to eat, review, compare, differentiate, explore and at the same time cook some of the dishes that I encounter. I was also able to join cooking contests as well which made me a better cook every after competition I got engaged into. You see in life, one of the most important things that matters is that we learn from our experiences, good or bad, I guess we should at least be thankful if we find it useful and beneficial for us because later on in our lives, somehow, somewhere, we might be able make use it as a tool and apply it like what we've just recently experienced during the event by 2nd Avenue.
Additional firsts on my part happened when me and my blogger/friends joined together to participate in a cooking session made possible by the cable channel, 2nd Avenue held at 25 Mushrooms Kitchen, Social Hall, Cauliflower, Valle Verde 5 Pasig City.

This California Maki was a tough thing to do but, all's well that ends well...

And of course we were able to mix and fry our own Shrimp Tempura (my fave!!!)
Full geared and fit to cook!
Warning!!! You may experience extreme craving and feeling of hunger upon seeing the following photos of the delish Japanese dishes that we made...
Gotcha! We're being busy here ...
Hooray for us! We made our very tasty Japanese or Yakimeshi

This California Maki was a tough thing to do but, all's well that ends well...
Presenting... our Yakimeshi and freshly made California Maki
Are you already starving? Me too!
But wait, we still have to cook Chicken Teriyaki
There you go... made my first Chicken Teriyaki!!! I tell you, the deboning of the chicken was quite a struggle for all of us and it's real! hahaha but anways, it was all worth it! We made it so special that it really tasted just right and the chicken's so tender! Will make this one at home.

And of course we were able to mix and fry our own Shrimp Tempura (my fave!!!)
Our finished product! The Japanese Bento that's full of fun, laughter, love, flavor and power!
Thanks so much 2nd Avenue for making all these possible, another milestone for all of us! We did not only enjoy the whole preparation and cooking process but we've also learned something new in the kitchen and get to bond with our friends.
