Luv U Pet breaks another record in Philippine TV history as it holds the biggest gathering of pet lovers, pet groups, animal welfare organizations and pet experts in the country this Sunday (May 17).

Thousands of participants are expected to arrive at Baywalk, Roxas Boulevard to take part in the “Luv U Pet Grand Eyeball”—a whole-day event for the pet community, from 6:00am-6:00pm. Activities include a dog pack walk, raffle and games, and lectures from animal experts to be led by The Pinoy DogWhisperer and Luv U Pet host Lestre Zapanta. Pet owners are also in for a treat with free services like grooming and anti-rabies vaccination. A pet adoption booth will also be set up by two of our animal welfare organizations for those who wish to take care of rescued animals.

Twenty four pet groups and four animal welfare organizations have partnered in this event and will each have their own exhibits at the same venue. From dogs, cats, birds, fish, hamsters, hedgehogs to exotic pets, the Luv U Pet Grand Eyeball is surely the single largest get-together of pets and animal lovers in the country.

Dubbed as the Philippines’ only pet lifestyle show on TV today, Luv U Pet gained a huge amount of positive feedback from viewers and critics alike. It started airing last February 21 and it will be airing its season finale this May 23, 4:00pm on GMA News TV. Luv U Pet is produced by Claire Delfin Media.

The event marks Luv U Pet’s successful run as a pioneering TV program.  It will also launch the show’s official T-shirts made by FrancisM Clothing Co. The Magalona family will be present to promote the Luv U Pet shirts.

Lestre Zapanta is well-known in the pet community as "The Pinoy Dog Whisperer." As a dog master with 15 years of experience analyzing canine behavior, he has become the go-to guy for people whose dogs are aggressive, fearful, excited, or have other behavioral issues. Growing up in the province, Lestre has observed street dogs whom he believes are more sound, stable and secure than most pampered purebreds. Although he studied Engineering in the University of the Philippines and also took up Flying in Airlink, Lestre still landed in the place he truly loves--being with dogs. With his expert dog behavior control training, Lestre can take on even the "hopeless cases" that other dog trainers could not handle.
