Cast hopes to do "Mundo Man Ay Magunaw" Book Two

"Some good things never last." The cast of "Mundo Man Ay Magunaw" had exactly experienced and proven this among themselves. It was my first time to attend a teleserye finale presscon wherein the whole cast and crew of the said hit tv series were all teary-eyed and up to the extent of shedding tears like   what happened to the very versatile actress Ms. Eula Valdez.

According to Eula, they always have wonderful moments during tapings. "My relationship with my co-stars really became very personal, to the point that we share stories about our own families. The whole cast and even the staff are sensitive to each other's feelings that's why if we're making jokes about each other, nobody gets offended," she said.

The "teary-eyed" Ms. Eula Valdez

We're referring to another ABS-CBN's Kapamilya Gold hit teleserye "Mundo Man Ay Magunaw's" finale episode this afternoon. The original writer Mr. Salvador Royales even expressed his awe and high praises to the cast's performances and also considered Nikki Gil as the next Cherrie Gil based on the impact of her acting which was a "big revelation" as Ms. Eula Valdez and the rest of the cast echoed upon that impression.

Mr. Salvador Royales during the presscon

Just to inform you dear readers, Mr. Salvador Royales was the scriptwriter of "Mundo Man Ay Magunaw," which was originally intended and created for a movie under Seiko Films sometime in 1990 played by main cast, Ms. Susan Roces (Eula's role); Sheryl Cruz (Empress' role) and Jennifer Sevilla
 ( Nikki's role).

On the other hand, the beautiful and very talented Empress Schuck received high praises and comments from her co-actors. According to them, Empress deserves everything but the best and hoping for a more successful career in showbiz since she has a pure heart and a very loving daughter as well. Empress shared, "I've learned so much from veteran actors in the show. I think even if I'm not part of "Mundo Man Ay Magunaw," I'll still be proud of it because of its great story and well execution on TV."

The lovely Nikki Gil also expressed, "I've learned a lot not only about acting but also many other things about myself. I'm very thankful to be given the chance to work with senior stars in "Mundo Man Ay Magunaw" because they've taught me a lot about being an artist and being a person."

Pretty face Nikki Gil

One of the tv series directors, Rechie A. Del Carmen was quoted as saying, "Ito 'yung show na walang problemang nabuo."

I could imagine the tight "bonding" that occurred between these people... they were all even clamoring for a Book Two of the said teleserye, it sounded like a joke but I guess most of the jokes being uttered is always half-truth.

During the presscon, I asked a hypothetical question to the two stars, Ms. Eula Valdez and Nikki Gil if what they wish to do if "Mundo Man Ay Magunaw," (if the world will come to an end), the two actress were very generous and candid enough to share us their answers. Please check out their videos:

Let's hear it from Ms. Eula Valdez

Meet the UNIQLO Philippines Cast

UNIQLO reveals the Filipino faces to exemplify it’s MADE FOR ALL Philosophy.
UNIQLO, the global apparel brand from Japan announces the complete Cast of highly admired Filipino personalities to embody its MADE FOR ALL Philosophy. MADE FOR ALL is the UNIQLO brand philosophy that captures the company‟s vision of providing casual clothing that is made for all people regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or any other ways that define an individual. The “UNIQLO Cast” plays a vital role in creating a bridge between the UNIQLO brand and the heart of every Filipino.

Chris Tiu, Iza Calzado, Chito Miranda and Nikki Gil are the faces of UNIQLO in the Philippines. UNIQLO believes that the Filipino Cast members exemplify the MADE FOR ALL philosophy in their own daily lives. Each cast personifies different characters – sporty, fun, witty, serious, spontaneous -- bringing out their own individualities. Despite these differences, they find a piece in UNIQLO that suits their distinct preference. Through Chris, Iza, Chito and Nikki, UNIQLO trusts that Filipinos will identify themselves in every product offering that the brand is set to bring to the Philippines.

“We are happy that the UNIQLO Cast is finally revealed. We believe that they will be able to communicate UNIQLO‟s brand message and philosophy—„MADE FOR ALL‟—with such zeal and passion, our objective is to let Filipinos know that UNIQLO has clothes for every individual – no matter who they are, what they love or where they are from.. As we say in the company, there is a UNIQLO for everyone,” explains Katsumi Kubota, Chief Operating Officer of Fast Retailing Philippines, during the sidelights of the UNIQLO Cast Party.

The announcement of the four members of the “UNIQLO Cast” serves as a showcase of UNIQLO‟s preparations leading up to the opening of the very first UNIQLO store in the Philippines this coming June 15, 2012, at the 2nd floor of the Main Building, SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

Chris, Iza, Chito and Nikki will be seen in the upcoming advertisements of UNIQLO in the Philippines.Christopher John Alandy-Dy Tiu, or “Chris Tiu,” is a true sports figure, an inspiration for education (with two college degrees), he hosts, does commercial modeling and product endorsements, and also has his own business-all these while projecting a wholesome image.

Maria Izadora “Iza” Ussher Calzado is what you call a “triple treat:” can act, dance and sometimes sing. She is part of ABS-CBN‟s impressive roster of talents and is a co-host of ABS-CBN‟s hugely popular Sunday noontime show ASAP.

Funny and witty, Alfonso “Chito” Miranda is a singer-songwriter, the main man of Parokya ni Edgar, a funk rock/alternative group that made ripples in the early 90s music scene. Their group gave Filipino rock music a truly unique sound that was loved by many Filipino music fans regardless of socio-economic status and age.

After singing the TV ad jingle of a popular softdrinks brand, there was no stopping Monica Pauline “Nikki” Gil from conquering local showbusiness. She loves hosting, singing, acting in movies and now even in theater. She is also a staunch protector of the environment and a popular product endorser just like Chris Tiu.
