"Kuh Ledesma Christian Bautista Sing Streisand Groban Legrand" at The Tent in Solaire this October 20

Ms. Kuh Ledesma and Christian Bautista together in one momentous concert

Can you imagine having two prominent, well-known and award-winning singers of their own musical era unite in one momentous and remarkable concert? Yes, there is really such an event like that, which is definitely worth the wait for all us, music-lovers.

One of the main reasons why I love Solaire and (you should too) is the fact that they really support Filipino talents and performers. We seldom encounter known establishments like this that is so so much willing to invest on our local and genuine talents. Thanks to Mr. Audie Gemora, who plays a very vital role as the Director of Entertainment at the Solaire Resort.

The integrated resort's newest event venue, The Tent, will cater various artists as Mr. Audie Gemora says, " The Tent seeks to accommodate Solaire's ever expanding enteetainment fare. We can now simultaneously hold concerts and musicals in two spaces for our guests' enjoyment. It is quite fitting that The Tent's maiden offering is "Kuh Ledesma Christian Bautista Sing Streisand Groban Legrand," as it speaks of how time is a transforming force, a common thread that artists and Solaire have experienced over the years. It will truly be a wonderful night of beautiful music."

Mr. Audie L. Gemora talking to Ms. Kuh Ledesma and Chridlstian Bautista during the duo's upcoming concert on Oct. 20 at The Tent in Solaire

Solaire Resort has practically rejoined another two brilliant artists from different generations. One of our county's most formidable and well-respected divas, Ms. Kuh Ledesma has been in the industry for four decades and is showing no signs of stopping from performing on stage. She was prominently compared to Barbra Streisand during her beginnings, but eventually shook the association off due to her striking looks, soulful sound and captivativing stage presence. Her all-time hits like "Dito Ba?" , " 'Til I Met You" and "One More Try" has been in our musical system for the past four decades. Even the millennials got to hear those popular songs by Ms. Kuh Ledesma because you know, us Filipinos are music-lovers by nature and we all love to sing karaoke!

Kuh divulges, "Being in the industry for 40 years, the songs have become mine over time. There is one song that brings me to tears whenever I hear it and this concert is my opportunity to sing it as my own."

Christian Bautista... I've known Christian for few years now since he was with his mother Network before, ABS-CBN. The Asia's Pop Idol hasn't changed a bit only that he has carried some other additional achievements in his cap and that he is also engaged with his fiance, Kat Ramnani, whom he claims created a big impact on his performances, thus, he said, " Groban's ''You Raise Me Up,' has more meaning to me now. When I hear it, I think about Kat and how the song perfectly describes how she affects me and how much she inspires me. "

On the other hand, Ms. Kuh has nothing but good words for Christian... "It's always a pleasure to work with Christian. First of all, he has a great voice, and it's always a delight working with singers with great voices. Second, he is a friend and brother in Christ, so that's a bonus. Lastly, he's good looking---what else can I ask for?"

Christian was also compared to American singer, songwriter Josh Groban for his lanky physique when he first auditioned for a defunct television singing contest. Despite his competition exit, he was offered a recording contract and thus began his climb to entertainment stardom. His debut single "The Way You Look at Me" received an acclaimed exposure in Indonesia which set his singing career in an international trajectory.

Kuh is not a stranger as a performance partner, and Christian only has praises to say about her. "I've learned so much from her. As an artist, I admire the brilliance she injects in our craft. She knows how every little detail will flow and has total control of her shows. It's an amazing opportunity to see how she does it and be able to sing it with her on the same stage again."

Reflecting on the last few years since doing this concert for the first time, Kuh shares. "The years in between have brought a lot of amazing experiences. We've gone through various events, even life changing milestones that bear different emotions. Although the songs will be familiar and the best from the three icons, there will be more depth and honesty," says Kuh. *Our, and of course, the fans of Streisand, Legrand and Groban can definitely expect a deeper sense of connection in the songs that we will sing in the concert. It'll still be the music that the fans have fallen in love with, ony this time more heartfelt."

Tickets are available at TicketWorld, you may call 891-9999.

"Asia's Nightingale" Lani Misalucha and "Asia's Rising Phoenix" Morissette Amon in one Momentous Musical Journey

September 05, 2018

Lani Misalucha and Morissette Amon

Imagine the "Asia's Nightingale" Ms. Lani Misalucha and "Asia's Rising Phoenix" Morissette Amon, in one momentous musical journey... oh boy, it was just like a dream come true or wish granted for everyone, and that includes myself.

Asia's Nightingale Ms. Lani Misalucha

I have encountered Ms. Lani Misalucha during her previous concerts before and I must say that, she is a diva indeed in her own rights, true to her title, the "Asia's Nightingale," she never fails to amaze us with her vocal range and strength. We've also seen her grow and had also reached international audience not just through the awards given to her but she is well-recognized performer in Las Vegas, making her own name in and out of the country is just only one of the many things that I admire about her.  She is so passionate about her craft, humble and family-oriented person as well.

Asia's Rising Phoenix Morissette Amon

Morissette Amon, on the other hand, is now making her own raves as "Asia's Rising Phoenix," as the majority tag her. Why so? It's because, she has been touted to have vocal range of five octaves and five notes! If you are fond of watching videos and performances on Youtube, I suggest you go check her out (if you haven't), and see for yourself, how this young and fresh talent is making us all Filipinos proud, everywhere she goes, every country she's been into, every concert she performs, she is always a real "knock-out" and so "lit"!!!

With one of my singing idols, Morissette Amon during their presscon at The Theatre in Solaire

During her "The Voice Philippines" days, {she was my consistent bet) back in the year 2013, she became part of Team Sarah but wasn't that lucky enough to get the title, nevertheless, this didn't stop her from reaching her dreams but instead, she is now soaring high like a "Rising Phoenix," look at her now, so grounded like her idol Sarah Geronimo and yet very talented with a vocal range, power and distinct style that she can call her "own."  She is also a multi-awarded artist at her tender age.

So we could just imagine when these two powerful and brilliant divas join forces to give us the grandest musical journey of the year. Thanks to Solaire Entertainment for their continuous support to our Filipino talents, and for us, to do our part, we should also recognize and patronize them too by showing support and watching their outstanding performances!

Ms. Lani wiping her tear off during their "A Lani Morissette -- Musical Journey" presscon

During their presscon, Ms. Lani went teary-eyed as she speak with Morissette, giving her kind and inspiring words for her to maintain her status, be a great and well-loved and respected artist.

So see you on September 22 & 23 at The Theatre in Solaire and let us all catch our favorite divas in "A Lani Morissette - Musical Journey."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Morissette Amon and Lani Misalucha

Two musical journeys will cross paths as they unfold at The Theatre at Solaire on September 22 and 23, 2018. Lani Misalucha and Morissette Amon are set to tell their stories in their concert entitled “A Lani Morissette – Musical Journey”, as they sing a medley of unexpected song choices that showcase their versatility, vocal range, and own style of performance.

Solaire, known for being a champion of Filipino artists, showcases the evolution of Original Pilipino Music (OPM). “Lani and Morissette are on different stages of their musical journey. Lani is at the pinnacle of her career while, Morissette is still venturing into hers.” says Audie Gemora, Solaire’s Director for Entertainment.

Lani Misalucha

Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha moved to the United States in 2000 and began performing in various Las Vegas hotel and casino properties, gaining the name “New Siren of the Strip”. The veteran singer, reaching the high point of her Philippine success, made the bold move to spread her wings wider to only shine brighter under the City of Lights. She is known by many for her high-octave vocal range, and iconic songs such as “Sana Dalawa Ang Puso Ko”, “Tunay na Mahal”, “Araw-Araw, Gabi-Gabi” and “Bukas Nalang Kita Mamahalin”. She is back for a short while to visit family and to fulfill commitments here in the Philippines. “I immediately said yes when I was presented this concert with Morissette.” she shares. “For me, she’s one of the most talented young Filipino artists right now. Aside from that, she’s really a wonderful person and I’m excited to work with her and for this project.”

Morissette Amon

The young Morissette Amon started in Cebu and made it to Manila’s rigorous talent shows where big voices dominate and are always in fierce competition. After countless attempts at victory, she rose from the ashes like a phoenix to claim her rightful place. She recently reached a milestone with her first solo concert, “Morissette is Made” held at the Big Dome, and is now being toured around the world. She rose to stardom for her powerful vocal range catapulting her to become one of the country’s new generation of biriteras. “I wasn’t really sure what will happen after my concert, but I’m really grateful that I’ll be able to share the stage with Ms. Lani – one of the music icons I really look up to.” says Morissette. “I’m also very happy that we jive in so many ways. Not just in our singing style, but also our personalities.”

As for preparations, the two singers reveal where they are at in their respective careers. Being rather new under a bigger spotlight, Morissette admits that even though she has spent some time with Lani before, she still gets shy around her. “It’s important that when you’re collaborating with another artist, there is that rapport. I just tell myself that, ‘Sette, you can do this. Don’t be shy.’” Lani, on the other hand says that she will have to prepare physically to keep up with the 22-year old. “I don’t have the same stamina that I used to when I was younger, so I really need to prepare myself.”

Despite the contrasts between both artists, they are on the same page when it comes to what they want their fans to experience. “We want to give them a show they’ll enjoy and remember. We included songs that we usually sing but, we also chose ones that aren’t expected for that surprise factor.” says Morissette. “After the concert, we want our fans to leave feeling good, and with them is the message that we want to convey: We all go through different journeys in life, but if we focus on the plans that we have, we can achieve them.” Lani adds.

“A Lani Morissette – Musical Journey” proves to be a story of reinvention that will relate to an audience that have their own challenges to face, and to inspire them to make the decisions that they fear to take.

For tickets to “A Lani Morissette – Musical Journey”, you can call Ticketworld at 891-9999.
