KathNiel's "Must Be... Love," a Blockbuster Movie to Date

Philippines' most celebrated and ultimate teen-age love team, "KathNiel," had finally met their stardom via their first full-length solo movie together, "Must Be... Love," under Star Cinema productions. Fans and supporters of this popular love tandem must be so thrilled and excited to watch their celebrity icons on silver screen on March 13, 2013, Wednesday. 

I first met Daniel Padilla, February of last year, during his exclusive photo shoot for BUM Equipment, along with his co-celebrity endorsers, Empress Schultz, Dino Guevarra and Bea Binene. He was just a simple boy-next-door type that time. Then our next meet and one on one interview with him happened again last July, 2012. 

I called Daniel to smile on my cam, he was busy texting and I wondered who could that be.... hmmm... :))

Since then, he had even gone a long, long way! Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla is now the country's no. 1 teenage love team to boot! During the "Must Be... Love," blog conference, if only you could see what my eyes could see, you would really "feel" their "sweetness, and the "care" that they share together, especially every time their twinkling eyes meet. :))

Direk Dado Lumibao and Kathryn shared their funny and different experience while filming "Must Be... Love" in Cebu. They've all opted not to share and be discreet about any infos on their locations but to their surprise, every time they go on location, huge crowd of fans, supporters and followers flocked to the site and that gave them a hard time to shoot, would you imagine that?! Well, that only proves the "magic" of our favorite "KathNiel" love team.

Direk Dado also told us that, a lot of people were asking him, about the magic of "KathNiel" love team, he just simply say, there's no magic in them, they're just being themselves, they're real people and that fans could relate to them. 

On the other hand, Kathryn talked about their love team, "Siguro nakikita n'yo na very opposite po kami ni DJ, na may ganun pala talaga na hindi sila nagka-clash, nagki-click din pala pag very opposite. Di'ba si DJ very rockstar, rugged tapos ako makikita mo nandito lang, siguro curious sila 'pag pinagsama kami, 'yung ineterest siguro nila."

Meanwhile, coming from his "Minute to Win It," taping, when Daniel entered the Star Cinema conference room he immediately greeted all the bloggers present and vice-versa, after that, all you can just hear was the clicking sound of the cameras and cellphones. Nobody could utter a single word for about few seconds. It seemed like an angel had went down and cast a spell on us, hahaha. It was so awkward that time but Daniel managed to break the ice by saying, "Game!"

From the story, Kathryn plays "Patchot", a boyish type of girl who plays, teases, and goes along with her school bestfriend, "Ivan" played by Daniel Padilla. Conflicts come when Patchot had suddenly fell for  Ivan, who only treats her as "ka-tropa." The situation even worsen when Ivan met Patchot's cousin, "Angel," played by Liza Soberano (she played Jake Cuenca's younger sister in "Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo). Ivan, upon seeing Angel, experienced what they call a "slow mo (slow motion)" moment with her. For Ivan, that moment really struck him leaving Patchot disregarded and helpless. Will Patchot be able to handle the whole situation? Would she give up her first love? How would she fight for her rightful feelings? 

The movie depicts about the teenage life and how they go about the struggles they encounter especially with regards to their feelings or heart matters. The challenging journey of the youth today was swiftly expressed in the movie, thank you Ms. Melai Mongue, Ms. Vanessa Valdez and Ms. Melissa Chua for always providing a very good material for us to always watch over and look forward to every time

Love" movie is also supported by other stars like John Estrada as "King" who plays Kathryn's dad, John Lapus as "Tita Baby," and other casts include Ramon Christopher Gutierrez, Arlene Muhlach, Cacai Bautista, K Brosas, Janus Del Prado as Gordo, Paul Salas, Sharlene San Pedro, Kit Thompson, Miguel Morales and Cris Gabriel Queg. 

They'll be having a premiere tonight, at SM Megamall Cinema 7. The soundtrack "Nasa Iyo Na Ang Lahat" is provided by Sam Milby, you can watch the video here!

Looking forward to "Bryan XXV Termulo" Birthday Concert

Bryan Termulo, the "Prince of Teleserye Theme Songs" is out to celebrate his 25th birthday with loved ones, friends, fans and supporters via his birthday concert at the Music Museum to be held on March 09, 2013, Saturday at 8 PM, entitled "Bryan XXV Termulo." 

Owing to the colossal turn out of his career, Bryan Termulo and his BWB Records and Music Production, Inc. family had collaborated to render special treat to all of you. We'd be expecting more of Bryan's popular songs like his "Dadalhin" version for the phenomenal ABS-CBN teleserye,  "Walang Hanggan;" "Kailan," originally done by 90's group Smokey Mountain, soundtrack of on-going tv series "Ina Kapatid Anak;" and "Sa Isang Sulyap Mo," for another on-going Kapamilya action/comedy/fantaserye, "Juan Dela Cruz" starring Coco Martin and Erich Gonzales. 

As I've said, we'd be expecting more, meaning, we get to see performances by Bryan like he has never done before. It's going to be a big surprise for all of you! Do you wanna see how he strut his body and move his feet on the dance floor? Well, better be there! This birthday concert wouldn't be more fun and exciting without Bryan's guests like Bugoy Drilon, Liezel Garcia, funny girl Melai Cantiveros and X Factor grand winner and my forever bet, KZ Tandingan!



Aside from singing, Bryan is also very thankful for his blooming acting career, and he's now busy taping for the upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye entitled "Against all Odds," starring Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo, KC Concepcion, Sam Milby, Jericho Rosales and Jessy Mendiola (love her!). 

During Bryan's birthday bloggers' party, I asked him about his birthday wish and hopes, the "close-up" smile and flawless singer/ actor replied: "Sa career, sana marami pang teleserye theme songs kasi nag-start po ako na kumakanta ng mga theme songs sa teleserye theme songs sa ABS-CBN, so sana ma-maintain po iyon para marami pa po akong ma-impart bilang singer, of course sa aking network na marami pa po akong ma-contribute sa kanila na maganda, maayos at well-appreciated ng mga tao. So more songs to come, kasama na rin po ang acting. Sa studies naman, medyo mahirap dahil working student, nag-aaral, loaded talaga 'yung isip ko dahil sa birthday concert, hopefully next sem sana walang kong bagsak hehe, para next year talagang 4th year na ko, graduating student na' ko para maging Communication Arts graduate na ko in the future. Sa lovelife naman, huwag po nating pigilan kung may dumating sa 2013, pinag-pe-pray din naman po natin 'yun."

50th PMAP Annual Conference: Global Opportunities. Leaping Forward. Defying Limits.

Shopping! Shopping! Shopping! In a woman's world, what could be more fun, (aside from traveling, hehe) than shopping?! 
My family and friends say, I have a keen eye on awesome items with great, great bargains, they say, I'm the "Queen of Bargains." That's why, on  a shopping spree like the 3Day Sale at SM City Sta. Mesa last February 15, 16 & 17, I had lived up to that so-called "title," haha :D That's what I really love about it, we get to enjoy, have fun while shopping and at the same time, have the great opportunity to grab fab finds and huge discounts!!!

While bargain hunting, I chanced by Burlington, for me it was a wise buy with a 50% off, so I grabbed two pairs 

Then I proceeded at the SM Department Store's Beauty Section. To my surprise, I was amazed by beautiful balloons shaped like a heart, the mood was very festive and light, it seemed like Valentine's Day was not over yet. :))


Just as I hoped for, I got a 100 peso discount from my Maybelline Pure Pact Mineral refill, 
oh yeah! 

From PhP 449.00, Watsons let me pay for it for only PhP 349.00, nice, nice!

Then, I geared up to the Men's Section again to find neat and fashionable tops for my son, and what do you know, I was able to get hold of a SAHARA long sleeves, I was so surprised after checking that its price had lowered from PhP 899.75 down to PhP 200.00 and it was in a very good condition, huh! Oh wow! That was exactly PhP 699.75 pesos off, would you believe? I so love bargains at SM City Sta. Mesa!


Then I got another long sleeves for my son, intended for his graduation ball (advance purchase!) Had it for only PhP 500.00 with an original price of PhP 899.75, a PhP 399.75.00 pesos off from Criterion, was really something. :))


Of course, we were able to grab these two U.S. Polo Assn. for Papee the other was tagged at PhP 1,099.75 (L) and the one on the (R) was tagged at PhP 999.75, both are priced at only PhP 600.00 pesos. Meaning, for these two fab finds, we had clearly achieved an PhP 899.50 off!!! Such a great bargain, right?!!! 


Well, time to pay all my great buys at the cashier, I also purchased SM Shopping bag for only 
PhP 49.75. 


There was another fun and great thing 
about shopping here at SM City Sta. Mesa, I got a claim stub for a savings coupon since I was able to reach the PhP 2,000.00 mark on a single receipt!

Lollipop and Lollibye: If Only

Was there ever a time in your life that somehow, sometime, you've missed a special occasion of any of your loved ones or friends that you regret so much, you wish you could turn back the time? Well in my case, YES. I've missed my niece and Goddaughter, Louise's 11th birthday last year. It was a very intimate family dinner at Max's Restaurant in Robinson's Place, Manila. And where could I possibly be that time? Well, I was attending an event and called my sister Didith up that, I won't be able to make it anymore because the event had been running late and I don't want them to starve and wait for me with the time so uncertain. I felt so guilty when I saw this picture having seen the vacant seat that was reserved for me by my niece. Regrets came over me and I couldn't help but felt guilty about everything. This wonderful scene would've been more delightful, awesome and complete if I was able to attend her birthday and not prioritizing the event that caused me to feel emotionally down... and my family... disappointed.


Good thing, my sister had chosen Max's Restaurant that time, my niece was very much surprised by the crew's sweet and touching gesture of greeting her with a customized "happy birthday" song and with a strawberry cake roll by Max's Corner Bakery that appeared like this...

But my story doesn't just end here. Some of us were very fortunate to see their grandparents very often and in some cases, live with them. During my teen-age years, both my grandparents (mother side), have lived with us and since during that time, the only parent we had was our mother. I was only fourteen then, when our beloved father passed away, I was the eldest among my three other siblings, with our youngest, who was only two years old. My mom was only thirty-three years old, she ended up to be a young widow with a handful of responsibilities with four juveniles to rely on her. 

I may call it more of an answered prayer when my grandparents decided to transfer and live with us. I knew very well that, during those troubled and critical times of our mom, she absolutely needs the love... the care... and the moral support she could possibly get not only from us, but most especially from her dear parents. Several memorable years had passed, when they felt that everything was stable enough for all of us, our grannies decided to go back and settle down to their native town, which is located in Pamplona, Camarines Sur in Bicol. 

Maybe you were wondering about my blogpost title "Lollipop and Lollibye," right? Well, I'd like to introduce to all of you my grandparents...

Four years ago, Lollipop and Lollibye was set to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary, which was like today, having reached that farthest point, is considered a great and rare achievement right? But that time, fate has been unkind to them. Lollipop had a heart attack few weeks before their 60th anniversary (March 24, 2009). He was hospitalized and when he got out of the hospital, he was so weak and couldn't go back to his normal state as much as he wanted to. For an eighty-four year old man, our Lollipop was strong, a fighter, a principled and a sweet and loving grandfather. 

So when their 60th wedding anniversary finally came... no one was there to celebrate the most awaited event with them. It was a pity no one had the time to go to Bicol. On my part, I was busy attending "Concerned Parents" feeding and outreach program in Lucena, Quezon.

The delight of the heart brought about by helping other children and seeing the smiles on their faces, had touched me to the point that I forgot about our grandparents' special occasion. I was not justifying my actions though. I was very much guilty that time, I felt so irresponsible not to remember my grandparents and I've eventually realized the weight of my shortcomings. This prompted me to remember Lollipop and Lollibye during my 18th birthday. Since dad wasn't around, my Lollipop acted as my first dance. All my loved ones were present during one of the most treasured moments and events of my life. That is why I know how it really felt to be important, remembered, and be loved, it gave me a different "high." And I am so thankful for that. But you see, how cruel of me to have disregarded the two special people in my life, who'd done nothing but to love me and my family. I may have done it unintentionally and unconsciously, but still, the bottom line is... I've missed their special occasion. :((

A few months after, Lollipop's condition had worsen. And on August 24, 2009, he finally left the world and of course, us, his family. I might miss another special occasion of any members of my family or friends, but missing my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary was one of the greatest remorse I've ever experience in my entire living. Had I known that, that would be their last anniversary together, I'd be rushing over to Bicol and celebrate with them. I really wanted to be with my dear Lollibye and Lollipop. 

If only I could turn back time.... 

If I could only compensate for all my shortcomings that time. If only Max's Online Delivery had existed during those times, I could have ordered them their favorite Max's Fried Chicken and other products. I know, by doing so, time and space wouldn't matter, because with
