The Queen of Comedy Ms. Ai-Ai delas Alas takes the lead in the upcoming benefit concert for Kristong Hari Church

Ms. Ai-Ai delas Alas during her blogcon held at Max's Restaurant in Scout Tuazon, Quezon City

The "Queen of Comedy" Ai-Ai delas Alas, is now also the queen of humanitarian acts and helping hand. We've been following her journey and we've also had some interviews regarding her generous acts and some were discreetly done but one of which were her pure love and support to the Kristong Hari church, along Commonwealth Ave. , one of the oldest churches along that road and was built way before Christ The King church.

Ms. Ai-Ai makes herself busy in leading the upcoming benefit concert for Kristong Hari on June 24, 2019 at the Araneta Coliseum. As furnish her support for the Kristong Hari church, which is close to her heart, she is also inviting some performers to participate in the said benefit concert.

During her blogcon, she had shared that last 2015, they had also gathered sponsorships for the fixing or reconstruction of Kristong Hari, and this year, she is again knocking in each other's door and generous hearts. They are now into the process of building a columbary, since Kristong Hari is a basilica.

She also added that, this benefit concert will serve as the gift of the Diocese of Novaliches to Bishop Tobias. The said concert will also include (partly), her 30th Anniversary in show business. She promises to make the concert very special. She also even joked that, instead of wearing her usual tanga in her concerts, she'll wear shorts.

One of Ms. Ai-Ai's admirable characters is her being a religious person and that she believes in giving back her blessings to others by helping and supporting those who are in need, like the Kristong Hari church. And this time, they are aiming to raise an amount of Php20M and hopefully they could achieve it and fill up the big venue since they will be joined by a total of 76 parish churches.

You could buy your tickets through Ticketnet.com.ph

Hobe products is the sponsor for Ms. Ai's presscon and blogcon

As for Ms. Ai's upcoming movie with her talents X-Battalion group entitled "S.O.N.S. (Sons Of Nanay Sabel), it will be shown in "Labor Day," May 1, 2019 in cinemas nationwide. She has another comedy film with Bayani Agbayani entitled "Feellennial," this June. Busy as a bee, she is still busy taping "Kara Mia," and she also shared that "The Clash" season 2 will start on August and she was happy to inform us that she might have an MMFF entry this year. The "Queen of Comedy," was very grateful to God for she's been continually receiving great blessings. And you know what, our queen is still making three more movies this year, isn't that amazing?! Truly, if you have a pure and generous heart, you'll be blessed a hundred-fold!!!

Arjo Atayde | Will make us fall in love in "Stranded" movie

Arjo Atayde in "Stranded" movie

"When you think you have it all, something comes to make you realize, that there’s a lot missing." And that very striking line comes from the newest Arjo Atayde starrer, a romantic comedy film entitled "Stranded."

If we could take you back in time, Arjo first appeared in "E-Boy" TV series in ABS-CBN Channel 2, as Jepoy in 2012, since then he has been having a slowly but surely journey in local showbiz. He had appeared in "Maalaala Mo Kaya," for several times. And each time he shows up, Arjo never ceases to prove his worth as an actor, with every MMK (Maalaala Mo Kaya) episode he's in. The said program, being the longest-running drama anthology (1991-present) in the Philippines, is said to be a testing ground for every emerging actor in the country. It can make you or break any actor's career, basing from their MMK performance.

Thr versatile actor has also appeared in other tv series such as "Pure Love," "Hanggang Saan," and one of his remarkable performances that had stuck in every Pinoy household was his character in "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" as Police C/Insp. (Major) Joaquin S. Tuazon. He was a very effective villain in that said tv series, that's why up to now, most people still address him as "Joaquin" whenever they see him in person.

He was also part of Coco Martin's "Ang Panday," in 2017 and also played a very vital role in thr kick-ass hard action movie, "Buy Bust" in 2018 as Biggy Chen, a drug lord. During the opening of this year, he had also his first starring role in a movie entitled, "Tol," he was so happy and comfortable doing and trying a different genre, which is comedy. From there, he was also paired with the beauteous Jessy Mendiola along with his two other co-stars Joross Gamboa and Ketchup Eusebio. Arjo also is the "Bagman" in the presently playing and considered to be the most-watched digital series on IWant.

Come April 10, Arjo's "Stranded" movie opposite Jessy Mendiola will be shown in theaters nationwide. I've also learned that Arjo and Jessy were childhood friends so there's no breaking the ice between the two lead stars. Arjo will play a happy-go-lucky, "live with the moment," YOLO type of guy. He is a food delivery guy who will be stuck with a girl whom he even never met before, in short, they were total strangers stranded in an office and that there was no way they could get out because of the typhoon that caused heavy rains and flood.

Have you seen their trailer? I don't know with you, but I feel so "kilig" (giggly) upon seeing it and watching their scenes. You see, maybe... just maybe, we could find the "one thing" if not, "the one" that we're hoping for in the most unexpected time, moment and place. That's what strike me most after watching the movie's teaser. Somehow, it gives us hope, right? Who can relate? :)

Our very dear Arjo, is now in another chapter in his life, after all those villainous characters and dramatic or comedic roles, he is now trying to make us "fall in love" and to "feel love" in his latest movie, "Stranded," and it's up to us to find that out!

So guys, see you in theaters, okay? :)

While Bundle Two offers the same Goldi goodness as the first but is substituted with two and a half pieces of Daing na Bangus as the seafood of choice in order to provide more options to hungry customers.

Goldilocks once again gave creative culinary arts students center stage to turn their cakes into masterful works of art in their Cake Battle, the inter-collegiate cake decorating challenge. This year’s theme is “Dance” marterpiece for Novice category, while “Musical”, “ Wedding” and Over All for Advance category.

This year, a total of ten teams split into two categories - Novice and Advanced - all vying for the title of champion cake decorators. The winners of the competition would also get P250,000.00 worth of baking showcase plus P20,000.00 worth of Goldilocks Gift Certificates for the Advance Category and P100,000.00 worth of baking showcase plus P10,000.00 worth of Goldilocks Gift Certificates for Novice category as prizes for the competition.

“Goldilocks really values the young talent we get to see every year we have our Cake Battle,” says Goldilocks Marketing Director, Cherry Caluya. “For this year’s Cake Battle, we wanted to focus on the creativity and talent of young Filipinos when they create beautiful masterpieces. We believe that cake decorating puts the art of baking to the next level, and the talent we have as Filipinos is endless.”

As the country's number one bakeshop, Goldilocks has been hosting their inter-collegiate cake decorating competition for over a decade now. Together with Gourdo’s and Avoset, Goldilocks was able to set the stage for the Goldilocks Cake Battle 2019 as they provided the materials and ingredients for each team to use in the competition. Many teams from Culinary schools, universities and college all over the Philippines show off their skill in decorating cakes, ranging from elegant to out of this world. With so much talent participating this year, the competition was definitely fierce.

Over 100 Culinary and Hospitality Management schools sent teams to compete in this year's Cake Battle, that began early this year. Only ten teams were chosen to compete in two categories, split between their cake battle experience. Teams from Bulacan State University - San Jose Del Monte, Gabriel Taborin College of Davao Foundation, Inc., Lyceum of the Philippines - Laguna, University of Cebu, and the Western Institute of Technology competed in finals for the Novice Category. Bulacan State University - Malolos, Holy Cross of Davao College, Lyceum of the Philippines - Laguna, St. Anne College of Lucena, and the Western Institute of Technology made up the teams who competed in the Advanced Category finals.

The finalists and audience of this year’s Cake Battle finals had the chance to rub elbows with and meet Goldilocks’ celebrity endorser, Liza Soberano. The country’s top cake decorators, Heny Sison, Jackie Ang Po, and Penk Ching, all had a hard time judging the competition because of the high-level skill and artistry displayed during the competition, but ultimately Lyceum of the Philippines University Laguna and Western Institute of Technology bagged the championship.
