I've always been fascinated with contests, searches or competitions that cater Pinoy's genuine talents. It primarily promotes best Filipino savvy thereby rendering great honor and prestige for our country. During the "Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs" presscon held at 9501 Restaurant in ELJ bldg. at ABS-CBN compound, I got to talk to Marion Aunor, one of my bets in this competition. She told us that her inclination towards music writing come from her grandmother who's into writing Christian songs. She can play some musical instruments like drums, guitar and piano. according to her, the genre she digs are mostly ballad, blues and pop songs and more comfortable with anything on the piano. Marlon has a very distinct and unique voice, having a great resemblance with Zia Quizon, whom we (me and Marion) both love.

Her expectations from this competition? "Well I guess to be known as a singer/songwriter, especially since not a lot of artists write their own songs right now, so you know, I guess that would be kinda like an edge." Now you hear that from a young artist who's got a lot of potential. Best of luck, Marion!

Well, that was just me in the middle hehe, flanked by Ms. Lala Aunor, (L) Marlon's mom and with Marion herself (R).

Another promising artist, towering young man, Wynn Andrada

with Bugoy Drilon, I also love his interpretation of "Pwede Bang ako Na lang Ulit"

"Be Careful With My Heart" Double Treat

The cast of "Be Careful With My Heart" during the presscon

The very first daytime tele-series in Philippine television history is also the number 1 daytime TV program today. A lot of stories have been told about this “uber” kilig-serye, a lot of flattering remarks, reviews and even requests have reached ABS-CBN’s end from indefinite number of viewers.

And this time they would leave no stone unturned. The romantic-comedy with a touch of drama tv series has started its airing on “Be Careful With My Heart Sabado Rewind,” last Saturday, September 15, 2012. Avid viewers and even those who’ve been missing the daily episodes of the said program can now freely get to watch their favorite tv series.

Jodi "Yaya Maya" Sta. Maria

Richard "Ser Chief" Yap

The Super "nakakakilig" loveteam!

Moreover, here’s another great news! Starting this Saturday, September 22, you can now enjoy a full one and a half hour of replay of its past episodes from 10am to 11:30. So there will be no “bitin” factor on the viewer’s side :))This most talk-about tv series has gained a lot of followers since its pilot episode last July 9.  The very unique relationship of Jodi Sta. Maria (Maya) and Richard Yap (Ser Chief) is being romanticized; raving lots of praises and acquiring huge quantity of televiewers. We commend the team behind this program, they've admitted that, the story runs distinctively according to their “gut-feelings” and I guess that’s one of the main reasons why they never fail to tap the latest trends and of course, the viewer’s taste and emotions.

The cast fortuitously claimed that they really enjoy working on this project, as if they were a whole bunch of people that belongs to one family... no pressures, no negative vibes, no hassles and everything. They’ve grown so fond of each other and treat everybody even the staff and crew as family members. It seems that “uniqueness” has really its own way of populating this tv series and its people.

"Abby" has finally spoken ! hihihi

Want to see a picture of a happy family? hihihi
Tom, Aiza and JM were so generous to have their picture taken, thanks much guys! :))

Since most us are also clinging to the songs that the show’s been playing since day one, here’s another treat for their loyal supporters! Here me out... the much anticipated release of the show’s nine-track official soundtrack is already here. Everyone’s so excited and thrilled as Richard says, “We (Jodi) both love music and singing but we never dreamt of being recording artists. This is special to us because aside from the fact that it’s our first album, we really worked hard for this because we want the people who’ll buy the album to be happy with the songs and how we sang them, and not just because we’re part of it.”
Jodi also ensures that avid viewers can definitely relate with all the tracks of the album, she even shared, “Every time they’ll listen to it, they’ll remember the romantic moments of Ser Chief and Maya.

This newest prime tanghali craze has everything but positive vibes. It is very refreshing especially to us, viewers, to have something that we can look forward to not only during weekdays but also every Saturday.  A tv series that’s funny, has heart, passion, family values, romance and most of all, it has the “kilig” factor that greatly influences almost all ages of any sex and any status and has created great impact on everyone’s lives. “BE CAREFUL WITH MY HEART”: You Can Take It Just Don’t Break It

We’re now very familiar with ABS-CBN’s newest offering in Prime-Tanghali, “Be Careful With My Heart” teaser wherein Jodi Sta. Maria (Maya Dela Rosa) plays a “nanny” to Mutya Orquia , youngest daughter of Richard “Papa Chen” Yap (Richard Lim) in the story and Jodi was instructing Mutya to say “I Love You Daddy” to Richard and as he reciprocates the gesture, he embraces his daughter while uttering “I Love You” and purposely looking towards Jodi’s direction and the latter’s “sweet smile” was so effective that it gained tons of “kilig” factors to the viewers.

Mutya Orquia, Richard "Papa Chen" Yap and Jodi Sta. Maria

And with that particular scene alone could lead us into conclusion that, it is a romantic, light drama, comedy and “feel-good” teleseries which can happen in real life huh, believe me, because I’ve known a couple of similar stories happened with one of our relatives who had married their “kasambahay or yaya” and the other instance happened to my grandma’s best friend who has captured her “kuya’s” (employer) heart and then eventually got married too. Hay, truly love knows no boundaries, right peeps? It is indeed amazing!

She's so stunning!

The stunning Jodi expressed her excitement towards this new project she was quoted as saying “Espesyal sa akin ang “Be Careful...” dahil ito ang unang seryeng bida ako. First time ko din na makakasama si Richard.” She even added, “Natutuwa ako sa role ni Maya at sa mismong istorya kaya tinanggap ko kaagad nung in-offer ito sa akin.” The versatile actress plays a provincial lass who dreams to become a flight stewardess for her to help her family out of poverty.
Jodi further shared that she is quite positive that Maya’s tale will win the hearts of the afternoon viewers because of the “good vibes” that she brings in the story. She’s very assertive that others will be surely inspired by her character as Maya for she’s very optimistic and considers everything can be done and that nothing is impossible.

The heartthrob "Papa Chen"

On the other hand, “Papa Chen” as he is popularly known for his very first appearance in another triumphant teleserye, “My Binondo Girl,” wherein he played Kim Chiu’s father, was equally excited for their new tv series since this would be his first drama where he plays the leading man. He shared, “Widower ako dito na nahirapang palakihin ang mga anak dahil busy din sa negosyo kaya kakailanganin ko ng tulong. It’s more of an unexpected love story. Maraming “kilig” moments na dapat abangan and I’m sure maraming makaka-relate dito.”

Richard Yap plays Richard Lim and Jodi Sta. Maria plays Maya Dela Rosa in the story

The two leading stars of “Be Careful With My Heart” were asked to describe each other during the newest tv series’ presscon held at Dolphy theater, “Papa Chen” said, “I’ve seen that she’s a very intelligent and very strong woman, we have a lot of things in common din kaya nagkakaintindihan kami, and she’s a very fine actress so, I admire her a lot for all these things that she has accomplished as an actress and a person as well.”
Jodi’s reply was, “Hindi mahirap pakisamahan si Richard, and nakikita ko rin naman sa kanya ‘yung willingness n’ya matuto sa work, ‘yung pagmamahal n’ya sa ...kumbaga new found love n’ya ‘tong trabaho na ‘to eh, ‘yung professionalism nandoon sa kanya tsaka, para kaming partners nito eh pagka kunwari sa mga promos, or kahit sa isang eksena pinag-uusapan namin kung anong gagawin namin, kumbaga nag-aalalayan kami.”

Be ready to fall in love... check out this one-of-a-kind teleseries that starts today, July 9, 2012 at 10:45 a.m. weekdays, before “Showtime.”  This is brought to us by the same group who created “Mundo Man Ay Magunaw,” which is slated to end this Friday incidentally :((

The whole cast of "Be Careful With my Heart"

‘Be Careful With My Heart” is directed by Jeffrey Jeturian and Mervyn Brondial. Jodi and Richard is joined by other actors namely Aiza Seguerra, who plays a mother for the first time (would you believe?!), Kute (kuya and ate) to Maya, Sylvia Sanchez is Teresita who plays their mother and the comebacking veteran actress Ms. Divina Valencia is Mamang who plays their “bingi” grandmother so you could now imagine how fun and enjoyable this new teleseries is, right? Other stars in this tv series include another comebacking actor Robert Ortega, Ms. Gloria Sevilla and newcomers Jerome Ponce, son of former actor Jessie Delgado; Janella Salvador, daughter of singer Juan Miguel Salvador and Jenine Desiderio and child actor JM Ibanez.

“Be Careful With my Heart,” you can take it just don’t break it.... to whom would you address this line?
