"Hanggang Makita Kang Muli" premieres tomorrow, March 7, on GMA Afternoon Prime 

Have you ever heard about stories of children raised either in the wilderness or with an animal? A child who grows up mimicking every gestures, actions, sounds of an animal and ending up like a real animal without any trace of human behavior. 

It's odd right? It is gruesome, inhumane and very crashing to know that there really exist such real story. When I first saw GMA' s teaser of "Hanggang Makita Kang Muli," I was really surprised and it got my conscious interest. 

I guess with this story line, this is gonna be the first in Philippine television. I commend the #HMKM creative team to be so brave, clever and intuitive. They are too fearless and daring enough to cater a plot like this story of a feral child and all its consequences. 

By the way, I found the meaning of a feral child to be like this : "A feral child is a human child who has lived away from human contact from a very young age, and has little or no experience of human care, loving or social behavior, and, crucially, of human language. Feral children are confined by humans (often parents), brought up by animals, or live in the wild in isolation."

But in this case, Bea Binene (Ana Medrano) was not confined by her parents

 She was brought up with a dog inside a dog house ; based on the teaser, she was kidnapped by an evil-minded woman named Odessa played by Ina Feleo.

Having portrayed a feral child, this is Bea Binene's most challenging role so far. And like you, I'd like to follow her story, as well as how Derrick Monasterio (Calvin Manahan) would come into her life and how she'll be reunited with her family. I'm pretty sure this will be a heartwarming family drama and love story.

A highly intriguing family drama, it studies the astounding life of one feral child who has lived isolated from human contact from a very young age, and has little or no experience of human care, behaviour, or, crucially, of human language.

This original series magnifies the unbearable pain and far-reaching consequences of disconnectedness, physically and emotionally.  

Hanggang Makita Kang Muli is headlined by the much anticipated team up of Derrick Monasterio and Bea Binene.

Bea plays her most challenging role to date as Ana Medrano, a feral child who is isolated from human contact and confined in a dark room for a very long time. Derrick plays Calvin Manahan, a compassionate psychology student who will find Ana in the heart of the woods while hiking with his best friend.

Ana’s mother, Evelyn, struggles to forgive her husband for being responsible for Ana’s disappearance and will result to them living apart from each other.

Playing equally important roles are Raymart Santiago who plays Larry Medrano, an architect and a loving father to his only daughter Ana.  His wife Evelyn Medrano played by Angelika dela Cruz is a renowned psychiatrist and a nurturing and compassionate mother.

Jak Roberto plays Elmo

 Ina Feleo plays as Odessa, an obsessive admirer to Larry and the kidnapper of their child.  Kim Rodriguez plays the role of Claire, Calvin’s socialite girlfriend.  Rita Avila is Glenda, the mother of Calvin and a best friend to Evelyn.  Ramon Christopher plays the role of Francis, Calvin’s father who has a heart for the poor. Luz Valdez takes the role of Conching, a sickly aunt to Odessa who knows all of her niece’s secrets. Shyr Valdez is Helen, the elder sister of Evelyn who acts as her confidant.  Portraying the role of Dominic is Marco Alcaraz.  He is a colleague and a friend to Larry who knows about his affair with Odessa. Jak Roberto takes the role of Elmo, Calvin’s best friend who secretly admires Claire.

  

Meanwhile, the woman they saved from her attempted suicide is rejoicing after planning the kidnap of Ana. Odessa’s (Ina) intention was to destroy their family so she can get Larry’s affection. She then locks Ana in a barn and gives her food every once in a while, but never letting her out of confinement and making development of her social skills suffer.  As Odessa begins to live a life full of false love with Larry, Ana finds a way to escape and will be rescued by Calvin.

How will Ana survive the world she did not know existed? Will she find her way home to her family? And is there hope for Evelyn and Larry to hold their daughter in their arms again?

Director Laurice Guillen, who helms Hanggang Makita Kang Muli, says the series’ storyline will capture the viewers’ interest and curiosity because this is the first TV show that will tackle the case of a feral child.

“This will be the first time we will see on Philippine television a feral character – a human who grows up with the traits of an animal after years of captivity with only a dog as company, and her journey back to human life. Is it still possible? Is love enough to undo the scars of hatred and cruelty? Can the feral child live with humans once again? Will she find love again?” said Director Guillen.

We've seen this young lady blossomed and developed into a fine actress. She is presently engaging herself into much more mature roles like that of her current Kapamilya Gold afternoon tv series entitled "Mundo man ay Magunaw," where she plays one of Eula Valdez's daughters as Sheryl with her sibling Nikki Gil as Jennifer and she's being paired with Ejay Falcon. This project was their second team-up after the very successful airing of "Guns and Roses," which topbills Philippine Cinema's "Bad boy" Robin Padilla and the gorgeous Bea Alonzo. Empress has been a BUM endorser for five years now and she hopes to star in an action movie doin' an "Angelina Jolie" type of role. 

According to Empress, she's only allowed to entertain suitors and admirers, she thinks that this isn't the right time for her yet to enter into a relationship and that Ejay is only a close friend.

This 24-year old former Star Magic talent; commercial model and is presently one of Viva artists alongside with Anne Curtis and Sarah Geronimo, is always at his "hype." :)) If I wasn't aware of his real age, I would think he's only a sixteen or a seventeen year-old stylish head-turner. Dino and Empress always get along so well and they've this "magic" chemistry in front of the camera which was very evident in the shots taken and I, myself could attest to that. For these two beautiful and amazing BUM celebrity endorsers, just put on the right music, then the party begins... :))

Meanwhile, this 14-year old petite and charming teeny-bopper Bea Binene, one of the finalists in GMA 7's Star Struck Kids in 2004 has been a very influential BUM celebrity endorser. And being one of the Junior Child Ambassadors of the Haribon Foundation, she has established a name of her own in the local industry. After the successful airing of "Reel Love Presents: Tween Hearts" over Kapuso Network Channel 7, Bea was reunited by her reel love team Jake Vargas in "Alice Bungisngis and her Wonder Walis" which is airs during weekdays before "24 Oras" in GMA 7.

And finally, the newest addition to BUM equipment family, coming from a very well-known showbiz 

clan... it's Daniel Padilla! 

Had the chance to interview the newest BUM celebrity brand ambassador and one of the most sought-after teen-age actors of today. This seventeener son of former actress Karla Estrada and actor/ brother of Philippine Cinema's "Bad Boy" Robin Padilla, Rommel Padilla is dramatically making waves and gaining his own set of followers. Having finished his last youth-oriented show, "Growing Up," in Kapamilya network, he's being teamed- up once again with Kathryn Bernardo in the currently airing ABS-CBN teleserye "Princess and I," whom Daniel finds very attractive. The newest teen-age idol admits that he doesn't court her pretty co-star he believes that everything should come at the right time and place.

Can't help but notice Daniel's very recognizable voice, as if I was talking with his Uncle Robin, he even has his uncle's mannerisms and looks. :)) Incidentally, Daniel can't still disclose the title of the movie he's doing with his Uncle Robin. I asked him what do his parents Karla and Rommel advice him re his entering in showbiz, "Magtiyaga lang daw po ako at mahalin ang trabaho pati ang mga kasamahan ko," he answered.

How do you feel now being the newest addition to the BUM Equipment family? "S'yempre tuwang-tuwa po ako, sino ba namang hindi matutuwa eh pinili po nila ako," he quipped. What's your message to your BUM family? "Hindi ko po sasayangin ang binigay nilang pagtitiwala," he said... attaboy!

Beni Reyes was so genial during the interview, he told us that BUM had extended its age group market. And it now caters upper age group which ranges from 13 until 25. Actually I admitted to him that, I, myself is a BUMmer, I find their styles, eccentric and outbound. Beni even shared that, in the year 2004, BUM had displayed hip-hop and preppy clothing styles, while in 2005, they've presented Emo outfits and had a transition of gothic into glam punk. They're also featuring clothings with flashes of colors and glitters to capture the much even mature market. 

Every summer, BUM evolves into featuring bright colors like yellow, blue, red and they've highlighted what's in and trending today, the aztec and paisley prints!
