The 27th PTAA Travel Tour Expo recognizes Top 10 Most Traveled Celebs


Now on its 27th year of hosting successful travel tour expos, the PTAA (Philippine  Travel Agencies Association), boasts and assures everyone of up jaw-dropping discounts on travel fare, accommodations, tours and more! 

The three-day expo happens on February 7 to 9, 2020 at the Halls 1-4 of SMX Convention Center in  Pasay City and there will also be booths at the  second floor. Come as early as possible! The expo opens at around 9:00 AM 'til 7PM (Friday and Saturday) and until 8PM on Sunday.

According to Mr. Tuano, they've created a special team to closely monitor the social media posts and activities of the celebrities for the past two years, that's why, they had come up with such list. The reason why they did this, is to recognize the worth and value of the celebrities since they were posting and making an awareness to the public of the different tourist spots not only here but also out of the country. The significance of their engagements in the social media has inspired and influenced their followers to also explore and travel like their fave celebrities. 

The featured guest celebrities for the three-day travel tour expo will be Glaiza De Castro, SB19 and Karylle, respectively. 

Entry tickets to the said travel expo can be bought at the SMX Convention entrance. The tickets cost Php70.00  for general admission (including students and children) and Php50.00 for senior citizens. The entrance is free for all Citi Card Holders, they just have to present a valid ID along with their card. Students may enter for FREE only on February 7 (Friday), provided that they present their school ID at the ticket counter. Tickets are priced on a per day basis.

The image, a silhouette of Maine teasing with what appears to be Vivo’s latest flagship smartphone, the Vivo V17 Pro, has many of her adoring fans already speculating when the new handset would be launched in the country.

Aside from the screengrab, a new video which will soon be up on Vivo’s Facebook page, will also feature the celebrity, garbed in highly-fashionable dresses, completing wacky fan-tweeted 17-second challenges such as eating polvoron while reciting the alphabet, or stuffing marshmallows in her mouth.

After weeks of anticipation, Maine Mendoza has officially signed a record deal with Universal Records. The contract signing was held at the Universal Records office. Present during the signing were Universal Records General Manager Kathleen Dy-Go, Operations Manager Peter Chan, Business Manager Rams David, and Maine. 



Hints of Maine’s signing first hit the web after Universal Records posted a teaser photo of a ‘mystery girl’ wearing a leather jacket bearing the word Universal on it. Fans were quick to catch on, as #MaineForUniversalRecords became the #1 Trending Topic on Twitter in the Philippines and Worldwide not long after the teaser was posted.

The mystery girl was finally shown to be non-other than Maine herself on June 22, as posted through a Big Reveal video, further exciting her fans.

SM AND BDO MAKE CHRISTMAS FOR OFWs EXTRA SPECIAL

Diane Reyes had spent the last six years working in Japan as a teacher. This year she looks forward to finally spending Christmas with her family.

SM Supermalls has made Christmas for Reyes even more special with its Pamaskong Handog para sa Global Pinoys celebration last December 10.

Spearheaded by SM Supermalls, BDO, SM Global Pinoy and SM Store, the Pamaskong Handog Para sa Global Pinoy gave Overseas Filipino Workers like Reyes and their families a special day to celebrate the uniquely Filipino Christmas celebration in participating SM malls nationwide.


“The Pamaskong Handog Para sa Global Pinoy is really for our modern heroes and their families because it’s not every year that they get to experience Christmas here and so we want to them to experience the unique Filipino Christmas to make them homecoming memorable and truly heartwarming,” said Mr. Glenn D. Ang, Senior Vice President for Operations and Program Director of SM Global Pinoy.

The event featured a variety show and celebrity appearances exclusively for OFWs and their families. “There is no Christmas celebration like what we have in the Philippines and so we gave our OFWs and their families an unforgettable one-day Filipino Christmas celebration that they have missed for many years filled with entertainment, fun, games and prizes,” Glenn D. Ang said.

The day’s activities included a variety show with appearances from Piolo Pascual at SM Consolacion, Maine Mendoza at SM Novaliches, Xian Lim at SM San Pablo, Kim Chiu at SM Cabanatuan and SM Marilao, Enrique Gil at SM Rosario, Angeline Quinto at SM Batangas, Richard Poon at SM Cagayan de Oro, JC Santos at SM Sta. Rosa and Jona Viray at SM Iloilo.

Aside from the variety show, OFWs were also treated to a Free Movie Day at select SM Cinemas nationwide, a 10% percent discount at the SM Store and a 5% discount from SM Appliance.

The OFW families also got a chance to win prizes and giveaways from Jollibee, SM Foodcourt, Watsons, Toy Kingdom, SM Markets, Taal Vista Hotel, SM Storyland, Sky Ranch, and SM by the Bay Amusement Park.

This year’s Pamaskong Handog celebration was also made possible through SM’s partnership with BDO. They have has always been in the forefront in serving the OFWs and their families through their BDO Kabayan Savings program and through their various activities that cater to the needs of their OFW clients.

As a way of giving back to our kababayans, BDO treated OFW families to a day of fun and entertainment, bringing in their endorsers Piolo Pascual, Xian Lim and Maine Mendoza at the Pamaskong Handog celebration last December 10.

Hundreds of thousands of Filipinos join McDonald’s 4th National Breakfast Day

March 14 was definitely McDonald’s best Monday ever! For the fourth year in a row, McDonald's National Breakfast Day delighted Filipinos across the country with free McMuffin sandwiches.

With over 400 stores nationwide who took part in the event, hundreds of thousands of Filipinos enjoyed a free and delicious McMuffin to start to their day.

From 6:00AM to 7:00AM, families, groups of friends, and individuals woke up extra early and flocked to participating McDonald's stores for their free breakfast treat via dine-in, take-out, and drive-thru.

McDonald's Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer Kenneth S. Yang took the lead in welcoming Filipinos to the much-awaited morning event. McDonald's Chief Happiness Officer Ronald McDonald was also present, along with McDonald’s endorsers and National Breakfast Day ambassadors. The brand’s most recent endorsers Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, popularly known as "AlDub", gave McMuffin sandwiches to customers in McDonald’s Bluebay Walk, Pasay.

"We celebrated our first National Breakfast Day in 2013 to share the goodness of a McDonald's breakfast to more Filipinos," said Yang.

The National Breakfast Day experience goes beyond March 14 through a “breakfast surprise.” Participating McDonald’s stores nationwide further spread the morning cheer by giving 100 free McMuffin sandwiches to groups or organizations who are unable to enjoy a good breakfast because of their early or different work schedules. Examples of these are security guards, hospital staff, and public school teachers.

And as the countdown to Christmas continues, the station with a heart hopes that Kapuso viewers worldwide hear the message – “MaGMAhalan Tayo Ngayong Pasko.”

 This year, the Christmas station ID theme song was sung by Pambansang Bae Alden Richards; with lyrics written by Brian James Camaya and Clare Yee, and music composed by Simon Tan.
