Great Finds is #HMRFinds! Check out my Shopping Haul

I've got the best shopping haul at #HMRAlabangZapote

Did it ever happen to you that when you really want something it really stays there, in your mind and the thought of having it always lingers in your senses?

In my case, it has always been my utmost desire to acquire a turbo broiler so that I could roast an oil-free chicken, pork or any meat for my family and I've also learned that we can also bake using the broiler, amazing right?

Another thing, I also wish to have a more decent griller, have tried the traditional and the electric griller before but this time, I'd like to try a differe
nt type, something that would suit my taste and lifestyle and I know that when I see it, I wouldn't let go of it!

Why am I saying all these? You see, since I am still in awe and overwhelmed, I'd like to share with you my shopping experience that happened just recently at the opening of HMR Alabang-Zapote road in Las Piñas City.

I was one of the priveleged ones who were invited to grace the grand opening of HMR Alabang-Zapote road just inside the SM Hypermarket.

Ribbon-cutting ceremony after the mass

Right after the ribbon-cutting, we all got very eager to enter and explore the whole HMR Trading Haus. I used to visit their branch in Pioneer St., Mandaluyong and before, the set up was just merely a warehouse and not as organized and dapper as their present set-up which I guess, would be much easier, accessible and convenient for both the consumer and the seller. What I've also learned is that they also have other branches in Adriatico, Malate in Manila and in Araneta-Cubao, Quezon City. If you wish to check out their other branches (with store locators) and updates, please visit their website :

This store will carry mostly industrial items as well as plant equipment and machinery.

For the opening day, HMR Las Pinas offers irresistible prices on office, household furniture, sporting, apparel, back-to-school items, toys, gadgets and many other novelty goods. Opening day offers include up to 70% off on select sporting merchandise, buy 1 take 1 deals on crockery, shoes and summer items, P99 bargains  on branded apparel and linen, Vacuum Cleaners under P600 and so much more.

If you’ve never been to an HMR store, you’re in for a unique shopping experience. One of a kind items are abundant and prices are pocket friendly. At HMR there is something for everyone including families, business owners, housewives, contractors, restaurants, hotels and many other clients.

“Surplus goods are as good as new, meaning they are shelf pulls from known retail stores, over manufactured, cancelled orders or demo units used for display that need an alternative sales channel like HMR. This allows customers to buy their favorite brands and merchandise at the lowest prices possible,” explains Sharlene Powell, Marketing Head of HMR Philippines Inc.

For me, that's the great thing about HMR, best quality items at its lowest prices!!!

This is me! So excited to explore the newest branch of HMR Trading Haus in Alabang-Zapote

I hope it doesn't reflect that much on my face and thru my wide-angled smile that I was really that excited that moment haha.

Meanwhile, I'd like to tour you first and get a glimpse of what they have for all of us...

Slow cooker priced at PhP3499.00. I almost bought this one :))

This could also be useful, it's an emergency light

Found this Homemaker turbo broiler in one of the shelves which costs PhP1,200 only and without any second thoughts, I asked assistance from one of their sales representatives named Ruby.

She accompanied me to the testing station where I was readily accommodated by "Kuya" (wasn't able to ask his name). After a successful testing, I was so happy to place my first absolute find on my cart during my shopping experience at HMR Alabang Zapote.

Now, my search for a more decent griller was on. Actually, I wanna give you a piece of advice or tip when shopping at any HMR branches... first, don't hesitate to ask someone from their staff or any of their sales representatives like Ruby. I was able to ask her if there's still available griller aside from those electric ones that I saw... she then told me to wait for a while as she"ll look further. And to my surprise, she came back and asked me to go with her... look what she found!!!

This griller is more than I could imagine! It has a battery-operated roasting system and it costs PhP2,500.00

While Ruby was busy looking for the boxes for the turbo and this griller, several men came and was at awe with the griller in front of me. They were also interested. Good thing that I did stay because according to Ruby, there's no more stock aside from this one, meaning, this is the only one and I guess this is the one for me! See? Another tip my dear amazing readers, once you have it take hold of it and never let go of it!

We went back to the testing center and had asked someone to dismantle the griller so it would be easier for me to handle it. And take note, there were still some who got interested in buying and were asking for available stocks. :))

Second item accomplished and placed on my cart.

Since I was able to accomplished two of my most wanted #HMRFinds , I just continued to stroll... unsure of what's next to buy until I found a pile of jeans of different sizes and they only cost Php199.00 would you believe?! And I got one for me.

So here's the ever dependable Ruby

If I were you, I'd look for her when you happen to visit HMR Alabang Zapote branch. Thanks again Ruby, for being so attentive and helpful not only to me but to others as well, 'til our next shopping adventure.

These fab items are available for auction!

You see, aside from their live auction, HMR has come up with an online bidding just in case you still don't know yet and if you're too busy to visit any of their branches, their online bidding is always available. Just check it out here:

See the smile? :))

I made my first roasted chicken using my newly-bought Homemaker turbo broiler from HMR Trading Haus. I got my sister Didith's recipe (thank you!).  My family was so happy indeed!

The jeans that I bought for myself :))

Can't wait to use this!

So there goes my shopping adventure at HMR Alabang Zapote branch in Las Piñas City.
Thank you for reading and hope you'll still be there 'til our next!

My Shopping Haul from "Mall Of Korea"

Wanna take a peek on my shopping haul here at the newest fashion haven in town? Come, shop with me!

The Philippines has started to appreciate and adore Korean or K-Pop culture, I guess when it  penetrated our local televison sometime in May of 2009, via "Boys Over Flowers." That "Koreanovela" as we call it, has earned tremendous amount of followers while the "Flower Four" or "F4" fever continuea to capture the hearts of many. The famous group was led by Lee Min Ho who plays Gu Jun Pyo opposite the popular South Korean actress Ku Hye-sun who plays Geum Jan Di in the story.

After the airing of that said South Korean television series here in our country, we had embraced the Korean culture by patronizing the kind of fashion they have up until now. Another way is by appreciating the K-Pop sound,  learning their language and by eating Korean food products.

Around two years before the Korean television invasion, I myself had an opportunity to work with Korean peeps. I was once a private ESL teacher who had taught three different Korean girls named Ana (more vocal one), Stacy (shy one) and Lala (youngest and smartest). I have learned to understand their culture and in a way adapt to them most specially when it comes to food. I report and go to their unit in Emerald building along Emerald Ave. (now F. Ortigas Jr. Road) Pasig City, three or four times a week.

So let us now go back to present time. Just recently, I had an invitation and guess what? It is to experience a shopping spree at the newly opened "Mall of Korea," located at the second level of Metrowalk.

The "Mall of Korea" covers a huge area (2,400 sqm.) of the second floor of Metrowalk Complex along Meralco Ave., Ortigas Centre, Pasig City.

I was actually amazed when I got to see the Korean fashion store that's so big as this!

The main entrance of the "Mall of Korea"

This is how it looks like inside, well this is just only a part of the whole interior of the newest "mall-like" Korean fashion store in Metro.

Before anything else, I would just like to give you a brief background of this shop...

Annyeonghaseyo!!!

As we are all very familiar with this, since we often hear this phrase "Annyeonghaseyo," in Korean, it is an informal greeting which would mean "How are you," "Hello," "Good Morning," "Good Afternoon," and "Good Evening."

Ms. Nina Lee (right)  together with Mr. Myke Celis, PR and media relations strafegist during the soft opening of "Mall of Korea."

Based from what I've learned, Ms. Nina Lee has been a designer (Korean) since 1975. Her very first shop was established in Myeongdong, Korea and since then her market has grown until it reached a total of 60 branches in Korea. She has also been the director of Korea Business Association from 1987-1992.

It was a real pleasure meeting her in person and I would like to congratulate and thank her for bringing the "Mall of Korea" here in the Philippines.

But wait! There's more!  The "Mall of Korea" has a lot in store for all of us. They have an upcoming Rainy Day Promotion, Back to School Activations, Corporate Tie-ups, Holiday Campaign Launch and Online PRs.

Come! Let me tour you around the Metro, I mean around the industrial themed "Mall of Korea."

From fashionable wearables

To trendy bags

Korean accessories

Trying this 2-in-1 bracelet and ring on myself, nice huh?!

They've got Men's Apparel section

My blogger/friend Aris is in search for his Korean-inspired top.

According to the "Mall of Korea" management, they are in the process of exporting more men's apparel to give the guys additional options and a much wider array of fab selections.

Another good thing here at the "Mall of Korea," when you're in doubt or needy of a second opinion from a fashion and style expert, they have it!

Now we go to my first item... my other friends have chosen their sleepwears already, and it's my turn to pick. Hmmmm....

This is my pick! First item on my cart! Isn't it cute? Btw, this one costs Php299.We'll all be using our sleepwear dresses during our second sleep over. So eggzoited!!!

Am I a picky shopper?

Definitely no. Oh well, in a way, yes (hahaha!) You see, I just want my searchy and keen eyes to be satisfied just like when eating right? We explore different kinds of food until we discover and find something good... something worthy, practical, affordable, fashionable, stylish and not out of trend.

As I was saying, I've mentioned about being a practical and affordable, right? Well, what do you know, Eureka! I've found an array of sale items just right over here!

The container was divided into two. To your right, you can find the items for only Php100 while on the other side, to your left, the all the items there are worth Php200.

Me and my blogger/friend Gracee got ourselves three pairs of cutee and colorful socks for only Php100. Not bad, huh?!

See this machine-knitted long sleeves blouse? This only costs Php200, such a fab find, right?

This floral haltered blouse is a free size one. Good thing it still fits me. Only Php200, want to have one?

There are also awesome stuffs for kids!

Some of the kids stuff that they will surely appreciate!

Disney Characters T-shirts for the kiddos!

Here are some of the elegant and more classy Korean fashion, and a bit pricey though but still worth it since it's authentic and of high quality.

With another blogger/friend Justine, we just love ti pose in front of the huge mirror!

Hey look! I got a real great and fashion find here! Posing with my Korean-inspired jumpsuit and this costs only Php499! I also used a stylish black envelope clutch bag, matchy-matchy huh?!

Yes! We're all lined up here at the cashier. We just have to spend a total of Php2000. We'll see which item should we let go or keep? Hmmm....

Now it's my turn! I had to let go of 3 items, but I still feel happy and satisfied with what's in my shopping cart. I got a total of Php2,097. I guess it's fair enough since I had so much fun shopping and fitting those Korean apparels.

For all those shopping moments I've spent, searching, inspecting, fitting and picking up items here at the "Mall of Korea," I have Davi with me, the ever-reliable, dependable and very cheerful Davi. So if you happen to visit and shop here, go look for her, she'll readily help you. Thanks so much Davi girl, 'til we meet again!

The true essence if shopping is when you don't have regrets at all and you enjoy doing it with your friends or loved ones!!!

Here's what inside my cart, my shopping haul from #MallOfKorea

Hope you could also check out the video I made that showcases some of my shopping experience at "Mall of Korea"
