“Women-Led Brands New Moon PH and Hiraya Pilipina Strengthen Commitment to Women’s Empowerment and Wellness”

METRO MANILA, PHILIPPINES — In celebration of Women’s Month, New Moon PHand Hiraya Pilipina came together to mount an Open House Experience for Wellness, Womanhood, and Filipina Stories, an empowering, community-driven event that brought together over 400 Filipinas in a shared space of healing, empowerment, and authentic storytelling while placing New Moon’s signature Power Duo+ composed of Hormo Balance and Soft Glow+ at the heart of the celebration.

Rooted in the spirit of the “Tell Her Story” campaign led by New Moon’s ambassador,
Ahtisa Manalo, the event invited women to reclaim their narratives, honor their journeys,and reconnect with the versions of themselves they are still becoming. Brought to life through a “Magazine Barbie” theme inspired by Ahtisa’s “Pambansang Manika” identity, the experience seamlessly transformed every attendee into both storyteller and cover star, challenging traditional notions of beauty and redefining what it truly means to be
seen.


“At New Moon, we believe that every woman carries a story worth telling not just the
polished, perfect chapters, but even the messy, in-between moments,” shared Miss
Jonah Sison-Ramos, CEO and Founder of New Moon PH.

“This event is about giving women permission to take up space, and to realize that self-care is not selfish, it’s about choosing yourself. That’s exactly why we created Power Duo+, supporting women from the inside out, because we believe that when balance comes first, glow always follows.

“Creating safe spaces for women has always been a core of Hiraya Pilipina. So for
everyone here, I hope you meet a friend because we are here for sisterhood, we
brought together like-minded women and hope we inspire other people after this event,” shared by Miss Cleo Loque, CEO and Founder of Hiraya Pilipina.

Together, both founders also led an intimate talk titled “Becoming the Woman Once You
Imagined” where they shared the personal and professional journeys that shaped their
brands highlighting resilience, purpose, and the power of women building for women.



The experience opened with Self Spotlight Issue: Be Your Own Cover, where a
Barbie-inspired photobooth invited participants to step into their own spotlight and celebrate their identity on their own terms. The conversation deepened through 

The Real Talk Issue: Feel What She Feels, breaking the silence around menstrual health by encouraging women to bring their partners into the experience, encouraging a culture where women’s health is understood as a shared responsibility.

In The Body Issue: Aim for the Truth, participants engaged in an interactive experience that challenged long-standing myths about the female body, turning education into open, judgment-free conversation. Completing the journey was The Voice Issue: Stories
Worth Hearing, an intimate storytelling space where women recorded messages to their younger selves, forming a collective archive of Filipina stories that are raw, diverse, and deeply human.

Extending the experience beyond the event, Shopee supported the on-ground activation
through exclusive vouchers, allowing attendees to continue their wellness journey with New Moon products. The collaboration also lives on through TikTok, where audiences can access special bundles featuring New Moon’s Power Duo+ alongside Hiraya Pilipina’s signature nipple pasties, bringing the conversation on women’s health and body confidence into the digital space.


As the event came to a close, one message stood clear: this collaboration was more
than a shared space, it was a reflection of two women-led brands redefining
empowerment from within.

Through New Moon PH’s Hormo Balance and Soft Glow+ the focus on hormonal
balance and overall wellness took center stage, while Hiraya Pilipina championed body confidence through its nipple pasties, encouraging women to embrace their bodies
without shame.

Led by their CEOs, both brands are grounded in women’s lived experiences, building for
women and creating spaces that honor both health and self-expression. Together, they
continue to push boundaries, proving that when women are supported in both body and voice, they don’t just heal—they inspire others to do the same.

BUM Black Army 10th Year Anniversary: A Celebration of Streetwear and Innovation

BUM BLACK ARMY ... celebrating a Decade of Streetwear fashion 



The BUM Black Army Day was an epic three-day celebration of BUM Black Army's 10-year journey in streetwear, and it did not disappoint! From October 11-13, 2024, Farmers Plaza, Araneta City transformed into a hub of fashion, creativity, and excitement, bringing together streetwear lovers, influencers, and fashion insiders alike.





The event’s interactive pop-up store was a major highlight, offering attendees the unique opportunity to customize pieces from the latest Holiday Collection with DTF (Direct-to-Fabric) Printing. The buzz around the newly launched Purpose-Built Pants collection —including Hybrid Denims, Tactical Joggers, and Parachute Pants—drew crowds, and streetwear enthusiasts got up close and personal with the latest designs.

The main event on October 13 was a showstopper. Fashion savvies and Lunar Lights Band took the stage, creating a high-energy vibe that kept the audience hooked. Attendees couldn’t get enough of the 360-degree camera, capturing content perfect for social media, while the Black Armies display showcased the brand’s latest utilitarian-inspired looks.

UNIQLO Announces the Winners of the UTGP2023: MAGIC FOR ALL UT T-shirt Design Competition

A gorgeous collection featuring the winning entries on the themes of Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars™, celebrating Disney’s 100th anniversary

Global apparel retailer UNIQLO today announces the launch of the UTGP2023: MAGIC FOR ALL UT collection featuring the winning designs from the UT Grand Prix 2023 T-shirt design competition. A total of 13 designs were selected from among more than 10,000 entries submitted from around the world on the themes of Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars to celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary. This special collection, to be introduced from Late May, presents familiar characters beloved worldwide by people of all generations, creatively illustrated from diverse abilities.





Thirteen illustrations highlighting the appeal of richly expressive characters
The work selected to receive the Grand Prize from among the numerous submissions received from around the world is a dynamic pen drawing by Hiroyuki Morita of Wolverine, from Marvel’s X-Men. Other winning entries include a design depicting a moment of rest for a stormtrooper from Star Wars, a design with Flash, Disney Zootopia’s sloth from the Department of Mammal Vehicles (DMV), in a bold pose, and a unique design with Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear from Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 3 shown in a style resembling nutritional information label. All the designs spotlight characters in highly original creations only available in this collection.

Award Ceremony

As an additional prize, winners will receive a special office tour from The Walt Disney Company, including a visit to the studios where popular characters are created, and the reading room filled with valuable archive material.

NOIX Gear : Innovating and Re-defining Urban Street Fashion

I am not a fan of sweat shirts and hoodie. But when it comes to comfort clothing coupled with style and fine texture, I'm so "in" to it! 

When Noix Gear was first introduced to me by my very good friend Stanley, I couldn't fully express my reactions yet, but when I finally geared up on it and headed the streets wearing this Noix white hoodie as my top, the people who were looking back and taking a second look can now attest to its street smart peg! It was so comfy I can even wear it sun up or sun down. 



Wearing Noix Gear gives me the freedom to express myself. I can freely move from one place to another unmindful of the weather. This is so versatile that you can also mix and match this with your skinny pants, like what I am wearing, it's a Uniqlo skinny pants (nice fit!)  and I also opted to put on my Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II black canvas (Climate Change). You can match this hoodie with your jeans, skirts or shorts perhaps. 


Experimental pose! Me and my friends find this pose funny but I still posted it because it's a self-expression. I wanted to show the different side of me. I can be boyish sometimes, you know... :))

My Shopping Haul from "Mall Of Korea"

Wanna take a peek on my shopping haul here at the newest fashion haven in town? Come, shop with me! 

The Philippines has started to appreciate and adore Korean or K-Pop culture, I guess when it  penetrated our local televison sometime in May of 2009, via "Boys Over Flowers." That "Koreanovela" as we call it, has earned tremendous amount of followers while the "Flower Four" or "F4" fever continuea to capture the hearts of many. The famous group was led by Lee Min Ho who plays Gu Jun Pyo opposite the popular South Korean actress Ku Hye-sun who plays Geum Jan Di in the story.

After the airing of that said South Korean television series here in our country, we had embraced the Korean culture by patronizing the kind of fashion they have up until now. Another way is by appreciating the K-Pop sound,  learning their language and by eating Korean food products. 

Around two years before the Korean television invasion, I myself had an opportunity to work with Korean peeps. I was once a private ESL teacher who had taught three different Korean girls named Ana (more vocal one), Stacy (shy one) and Lala (youngest and smartest). I have learned to understand their culture and in a way adapt to them most specially when it comes to food. I report and go to their unit in Emerald building along Emerald Ave. (now F. Ortigas Jr. Road) Pasig City, three or four times a week. 

So let us now go back to present time. Just recently, I had an invitation and guess what? It is to experience a shopping spree at the newly opened "Mall of Korea," located at the second level of Metrowalk. 

The "Mall of Korea" covers a huge area (2,400 sqm.) of the second floor of Metrowalk Complex along Meralco Ave., Ortigas Centre, Pasig City.

I was actually amazed when I got to see the Korean fashion store that's so big as this!

This is how it looks like inside, well this is just only a part of the whole interior of the newest "mall-like" Korean fashion store in Metro. 

Before anything else, I would just like to give you a brief background of this shop... 

Annyeonghaseyo!!! 


As we are all very familiar with this, since we often hear this phrase "Annyeonghaseyo," in Korean, it is an informal greeting which would mean "How are you," "Hello," "Good Morning," "Good Afternoon," and "Good Evening."

Based from what I've learned, Ms. Nina Lee has been a designer (Korean) since 1975. Her very first shop was established in Myeongdong, Korea and since then her market has grown until it reached a total of 60 branches in Korea. She has also been the director of Korea Business Association from 1987-1992. 

It was a real pleasure meeting her in person and I would like to congratulate and thank her for bringing the "Mall of Korea" here in the Philippines. 


But wait! There's more!  The "Mall of Korea" has a lot in store for all of us. They have an upcoming Rainy Day Promotion, Back to School Activations, Corporate Tie-ups, Holiday Campaign Launch and Online PRs.


Come! Let me tour you around the Metro, I mean around the industrial themed "Mall of Korea."

According to the "Mall of Korea" management, they are in the process of exporting more men's apparel to give the guys additional options and a much wider array of fab selections.





Another good thing here at the "Mall of Korea," when you're in doubt or needy of a second opinion from a fashion and style expert, they have it! 


Now we go to my first item... my other friends have chosen their sleepwears already, and it's my turn to pick. Hmmmm.... 




This is my pick! First item on my cart! Isn't it cute? Btw, this one costs Php299.We'll all be using our sleepwear dresses during our second sleep over. So eggzoited!!!

Am I a picky shopper? 




Definitely no. Oh well, in a way, yes (hahaha!) You see, I just want my searchy and keen eyes to be satisfied just like when eating right? We explore different kinds of food until we discover and find something good... something worthy, practical, affordable, fashionable, stylish and not out of trend. 

As I was saying, I've mentioned about being a practical and affordable, right? Well, what do you know, Eureka! I've found an array of sale items just right over here! 


The container was divided into two. To your right, you can find the items for only Php100 while on the other side, to your left, the all the items there are worth Php200. 

Me and my blogger/friend Gracee got ourselves three pairs of cutee and colorful socks for only Php100. Not bad, huh?! 



See this machine-knitted long sleeves blouse? This only costs Php200, such a fab find, right? 




This floral haltered blouse is a free size one. Good thing it still fits me. Only Php200, want to have one? 

There are also awesome stuffs for kids!

Here are some of the elegant and more classy Korean fashion, and a bit pricey though but still worth it since it's authentic and of high quality.

Hey look! I got a real great and fashion find here! Posing with my Korean-inspired jumpsuit and this costs only Php499! I also used a stylish black envelope clutch bag, matchy-matchy huh?! 




Yes! We're all lined up here at the cashier. We just have to spend a total of Php2000. We'll see which item should we let go or keep? Hmmm.... 


Now it's my turn! I had to let go of 3 items, but I still feel happy and satisfied with what's in my shopping cart. I got a total of Php2,097. I guess it's fair enough since I had so much fun shopping and fitting those Korean apparels.
